UI.X

UI.X 1.5.22.0

No permission to download
That is not what we want to hear. That is a big bug need to fix.

http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:http://www.audentio.com/demo/xf/index.php

Its not broken on our demo, which generally means its an add-on. Because it affects the appearance, people assume its theme related. When really it could be anything, its just you are visually seeing a side affect..

24+ hours for planned site maintenance, yeah I'd say so regardless of your company size.

We had to do a lot of updates. We planned to do it. It takes a long time. Site is back up. Thanks for your input...

Is there a way to install your themes without needing the uix addon and that you won't get the

or

warning?

I'm not a big fan of callback addons just for checking the latest version.
You can disable it via the options. Its for people who want to know when there is an update.

ETA: and yes you can always install manually. But you need the add-on for phrases as such.

The .sidebar .Sidebar classes exist in stock xenForo everyone, it's not UI.X creating that.

I am wondering if there is something in the [bd] widget Framework causing this. Will post over there when I get a chance if noone else beats me to it (working on a deadline right now).

I think there's a big problem with this style and the Widget Framework.
I have tested on several websites.
The Google cache is destroyed. Here some examples.

As you see, all is correct.

A bad google cache hurts your rankings.
I think a fix is absolutely necessary.
I'm thinking that there may be more of an issue with Google's webcache site.
This site is NOT a XenForo site and this is what you get.

It may be coincidence, but using Firebug, whenever the .sidebar class appears in and around the 700 range (line), it shows busted in cache. If the .sidebar class appears in the 4,000-5,000s, all is well.

This is the CSS file (search .sidebar):

@Mike Creuzer (or anyone else) does that spark any ideas?

I noticed this as well but I cannot find correlation. It's a tough one but we will get to the bottom of it I'm sure. Thanks for your help here.

Here are few points
1. The "fetch and render" on webmaster tools shows up fine with or without latest widget Framework. Is fetch and render just a snapshot?

2. The browser google cache page still shows up screwed without Widget Framework with the recent cache. Its a sidebar thing!

3. I had /js/ and /styles/ blocked in robots.txt. Just removed them from robots.txt. Will that help with google cache display thing. This has no effect for "fetch and render" within Google Webmaster Tools other than showing js is blocked by robots.txt, still shows up fine overall there, mind you

@DRaver , hows your robots.txt? Do you have "last 24 hours" addon installed? The last 24 hours addon is the only common thing between default sidebar and WF sidebar for me. Also, do you have CTA FT?

It´s not broken, because you don´t use the Widget Framework.

I have the addon disabled until there is a solution.

Yesterday I had turned off the addon and have sent a few "Google Cache broken" pages to the Google index.
The result: all this pages are now right in the Google cache.

I had the problem never with the XenForo Standard Style.

For me it is clear: Widget Framework and the UIX Style (all in the newst version) is a bad combination.

@DRaver Yes. Most people have no clue they are being affected because people rarely check cache.

Developments
I disabled WF and saw the problem even with default sidebar when I had styles and js blocked in robots.txt - When I corrected that the default sidebar page shows up well in google cache..

Now have enabled WF. If it screws up the cache page, then WF 2.5.9 is interfering with ui.x style or js on XF 1.5.1 . Let me check

Actually, we do. Rivals doesnt the issue either and they're also using it.

Also, @Tracy Perry had this issue without even using XenForo

It may have been a temporary issue with Google's cache. @vij also said it's now working for him with both uix and widget framework so the issue is not as clear as you want to make it

There's definitely something strange going on with Google Web Cache, though I'm not sure what the cause is. It's not Widget Framework as I'm not using this (I do have it installed but it's disabled). I don't have /js/ or /styles/ disallowed in my robots.txt file.

The issue I am getting is not just the (standard) sidebar being messed up, the whole view in Google Web Cache is very narrow, as though it's been viewed on a very narrow phone:

Not sure what is going on but I'm not seeing any issues displaying for my site - I've submitted a few pages and they all render properly?
