Please correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe anyone from XF has said that 2.0 is due out sometime in 2016? It could very well be sometime in 2017 or God forbid 2018.

I vote for 2021. Seriously.

Wish that companies would stop using seasons to put estimate timeframes. Not everyone lives in the same hemisphere so the seasons are different for people from the two hemispheres right now. Whats wrong with putting something like Quarter 3 2016?

Erm that's exactly what companies do and why they refer to quarters rather than seasons. Unless something is for a specific market (e.g. a US movie release where it makes sense to use US seasons, "coming Summer 2018") then everyone uses Q1, Q2, etc. especially for tech product releases.

Meh, you're in the UK. Our seasons are "winter", "that week in april when it's sunny", "actual winter with real snow and all the trains cancelled"

Erm you probably dont pay attention to xenforo or apple publicised released schedules. Unless ofcourse you think they are marketing their products to only one section of the world.

Can someone confirm that Autumn (UK) starts on September 01 and ends on November 30? I'm not really familiar with the seasons and the dates they represent.

Sounds like it's primarily a developer release.

Alpha - Historically used by developers to debug the system in front of a broader audience before public release.
Beta - Historically allowed to a limited group or the general public with stability warnings and not suggested for live use.

Quite simply, without XenForo 2.0 there's no way to work on add-ons for 2.0. Nobody can work blindly and not knowing what has changed in 2.0.
