Wish list for xf2:

* function parity with XF 1.x
* decent mobile ui
* api and framework for app development
* naturally scalable including using cdn's, static asset storage
* private community focus (ie allow users to create own social groupings, threads, etc)
* serverless (ok I know this wont happen, but it is doable for xf 3.x)

If your license hasn't expired, nothing. If it has, the normal yearly renewal costs. That's my understanding from reading the forum posts from the relevant people.

Any license can be extended in the normal manner.

I'm looking forward to it more and more as the days get closer. Apart from XF's release of 2.0 we are also getting some major additions to our community in terms of features that are required by us. We are basically taking the 2.0 opportunity to bunch in multiple major custom projects and have a bigger impact when we upgrade to 2.0. Most of our custom dev will start once 2.0 is made available in its early stages, so I'm really excited.

It's something we have noted internally (amongst some other related elements), though it's not supported yet.
