How many months has it been since you bought him a computer?

I didn't get in on the crowd fund, I don't recall purchasing anyone a computer. I have zero use for a classifieds add-on.

Takes a special type of person to constantly hope for failure. I don't understand how you, or anyone else, benefits if he fails.. yet it's like you want him to? For what reason? So you can say 'told you so' and hopefully the rest of the community joins you in your negative views on humanity? I gave him (as a loan -- as if it's any of your business) a few hundred bucks to help him get a computer, I don't regret it. I don't have a need for his software but I appreciate the fact he's trying to help the community (and sure, himself as well). If it doesn't become a reality, it's not going to stop me from helping people that need it and are at least attempting to help themselves. There's nothing wrong with someone with a talent, attempting to do something, asking for a little help getting there. If he doesn't deliver, I may not like him as much (hard to say I like him now, I don't even know him), but I will absolutely not stop investing in people that are sincere and do have potential. I'm sorry you've experienced whatever you experienced that gives you such a negative outlook on people. I hope you can overcome it some day.

It does not involve me in this film. I just do not contribute to the crowd funding because at the time did not have the necessary funds, as I said to @Mr. Goodie2Shoes in private. But still interested and ready to move forward with the deal.

I continued to follow this thread because I was jumped on by people I now ignore when I suggested that my firm could not pay for someone's computer... since I was so rashly criticized, I continued to watch to see what you guys got for your money. It's been 6 months now, and the answer is nothing.

I suppose every single person who has ever supported a crowdfund... whether it be for Black Tie, the movie SuperTroopers 2, or a XenForo modification deserves it. Looks like there are tons of fools out there. Man, and a few gave a few thousand to SuperTroopers 2 without anything to show for it... yet.

To those who are questioning my credibility or trying to discredit me: why are you bringing up some stupid thread from the past? How would you feel if someone stalked you and brought up your dirty little secrets (yes, what you are doing is no less than stalking someone)? My one is not even a secret since the thread exists in a public forum. Only idiots hold onto the past and not move forward. That was something my 15-year-old, stupid self did which I am not proud of... and for the record, I never did any crowd-funding for the store app (which I'll restart from scratch once classifieds is done, by the way) and I only accepted one offer for free hosting from @xenBoost Mike and one offer from @Mike Creuzer to fund the project, and others I respectfully declined since I never wanted to "pre-fund" for that project. And if Mike ever wanted a refund, I would've gladly refunded the money. And after I came back to this community, we came into terms (if you ever missed the last couple of posts of the store thread).

And for the record, even after you doing all this, I am still getting offers to fund for classifieds or being about about the progress once every 4 days at least. So yeah, your stuff... its not working, so please stop polluting this thread.

Any who, now on to posting updates. The classified view is done and here are some screenies. Again, not much I know, but baby steps

And Goodie has been fantastic over on xf-universe... he's really bent over backwards for us and done everything we've wanted... and it's taken some time, but things are looking absolutely fantastic as the screenshots show! He's had a lot of work to do and he's proven he's more than capable, he's a fantastic developer! It's been a pleasure knowing him!

Especially these past few weeks, he's been kicking ass literally and posting daily updates! It's been great

I haven't been following this thread much, but I wont have you talk cr*p about him. You don't know him, and you haven't been in touch with him the past few months. It really has been a pleasure @Mr. Goodie2Shoes. He's one of the most approachable, easy to talk to developers! He's put up with a lot of grief from people on here, and us crowdfunders too... but he always delivers and keeps a calm head

The classified system is going to be great, you should all look forward to it

edit: just want to add, just because you may not see many updates here, doesn't mean there isn't any updates. He's in daily communication with the crowdfund group, posting screenshots, brainstorming. It's been fun, if me or any of the group suggests an idea, he makes it happen! Can't praise him enough.

It's sad that Xenforo allows this. It's been six (6) months since an addon was promised, and three (3) months since money was exchanged and nothing was delivered.

Xenforo requires a LOT of addons to replicate the features that VB provides in its standard package. So users must use custom coders to provide those features.
If every coder decided to ask for money, and then not deliver, as is the case here, that would discourage a LOT of people from using this software.
Just MY opinion of course, so feel free to flame me for it. I won't pay some guy thousands of miles away for something he doesn't have, no matter how "nice" or "reputable" he seems.

you are acting like he has done absolutely nothing... I have used an earlier build of what he does have and it's pretty good.

You are getting flamed because you are being overly negative, saying we are all doomed and we've been scammed... saying he's not produced anything which isn't the case at all.

We paid towards his computer and in turn he'd update the crowdfunders with progress and give us licences when it's done. And so far he's delivering... I have really appreciated having an input into the development... so the $200 was worth it for me.

It's as if you are trying to sabotage the project... the classifieds system isn't Goodies life purpose, he has other things he has to do. And it would have been nice to have a fully functioning and ready classifieds system by now, but that's not the case... so we'll just have to wait a bit longer. But based on what I have seen and used, the finished product is going to be pretty good!

I appreciate you looking out for those of us who paid money, but I don't know why you are getting so riled up... especially if you don't have any money tied into it.

Surely we can all get along? good things come to those who wait Let's do just that, and be patient. Once he releases a finished product we can all rejoice and celebrate and if he runs off and leaves us all in the dark, only THEN we can bring out the flaming pitchforks

have to agree with Steve, an addon of this size takes time and he hasn't asked for much considering the scale of the project.

We also heard your opinion and listened, the first time you aired it, the second, oh and the third! by now we get the message - you aren't happy.

I respect your right to an opinion, but there's no need to come on here every other week and try to rub the fact it's not finished yet in our faces. There's nothing to be gained from that. And it's certainly not contributing anything.

Finished working on a barebone contact module which utilizes XenForo's Private Conversation system. And currently finishing up the moderation of the classifieds.

When a user creates a classified, they have to select which package they want to use.

We offer free classifieds. Is it possible to skip the step for package choice and just set expiration/renewal options the same for everyone?

User needs to select a package (as that's how the system is built, changing that will mean lots of unwanted changes.) so what you can do is create a package with the expiration and renewals set and set the prices to zero and give permission to all user groups and your users can create classifieds for free
