UI.X 1.5.22.0

Suggestion/Idea... UI.X already has the "Node Grid" functionality. On mobile devices larger than standard smart phones (pads / phablets) there is too much space lost with the sidebar blocks all underneath for kilometers of happy scrolling. Now, how about using the node grid functionality for sidebar block widgets? You could say there are break points and either you see one single widget block under each other or two under two from left to right. Even only two widget blocks next to each other on a pad would save 50% of the page height scroll space. Just my two cents, of course free of charge.

Posting this in both UI.X and UI.X dark discussions since i believe it occurs for me on both styles.

Why does the Elite banner not have an outline like the Owner one does?

Thanks for the suggestion. Due to the way the widgets/sidebar blocks work, it would be a rather large project to do this when its rather simple to do it with quick CSS.

It might. It could just be the same color as the background.

Anyone an idea how to fit this :

Seems a bit heavy, no? Could just be the fact that there is a lot of content in there. You may want to try floating that image?

Yes, possible with CSS. I tried it and it's cool. I just refrain for doing it for a dozen add-ons with 1-5 blocks each... so, it remains a dream. No worries I can live with it.

Mike Creuzer updated UI.X with a new update entry:

Minor bug improvements

Hi everyone,

Note: this version requires the latest update to the UI.X add-on version 1.0.7. The add-on can be downloaded from your customer area at Audentio.com.

We also offer installation ($15) and upgrades (starting at $99 - but if you set it up properly its free because its just one click) for those who would rather we take care of it for you. Any major issues will be fixed and we'll set it up so you only have to click a button moving forward.

If you want to do this yourself,...

Disable the UI.X Add-on before upgrading the add-on AND the style?

Secondly, when do you reenable the add-on?

Thanks.

It's only really necessary when you don't take the board offline and when you are updating the add-on. But it's a good idea to always if unsure. Renable when theme is done installing.

Upgraded to 1.5.3.1 and merged the templates into the new parents.
The good news: The "Toggle Width vs Navigation Overflow" bug is SOLVED! (y)
The bad news: In responsive mode, the OffCanvas Nav Tabs "Conversations" and "Alerts" don't work at all. Javascript seems to be not working. (I merged the parent code into my templates. So it should be a parent template problem).

I think the problem is to do with how you have merged templates. I have just upgraded both my live and test sites to 1.5.3.1 (having upgraded to XF 1.5.3 first). In both cases I used the automatic merges option (ie there were no conflicting merges) and all is fine with the offcanvas nav tabs for conversations and alerts.

I merged the parent templates into the custom ones. Or in other words I resolved the issues with using the parent code instead of my custom code always. So it should have been safe. But I think it could have to do with the hotfix code I implemented from @kylerc when the "zero" alert bug was treated with it... hmm.. what to do?

Solved it. It was additional JS code from the parent that did not merge in the automatic merging process, so I reverted the template and then inserted my custom changes again.
