Is it possible to add "Thread views" as a cumulative trophies option?
Do you mean award a (fraction of a) trophy point every time someone views your thread or for each time you view any thead?
The first is rewarding you for creating a thread with a more intriguing title so that more people click to open it.
The latter is rewarding you just for opening threads.
I imagine both are possible but wouldn’t recommend either.
For a start, both could get very big numbers, so to have an appropriate value compared to the that of creating a thread, they would both have to be worth a tiny fraction of a trophy point.
Second, the points could be awarded very frequently (especially with the second option) creating more of a load on the server and they could potentially create lots of trophy award alerts.
Thirdly, for the first option, we would probably not want to count views of your own thread because you could abuse the system by opening your own thread many times. So that would mean keeping a separate count of thread views which don’t include you. Which is an added burden.
If you want to reward people for creating a good thread, then we have that covered with the trophies awarded for positive reactions.
Rewarding people for something as trivial as opening any thread would lead to abuse of the system because people would open lots just to get their points up.
So while I understand where you’re coming from with either suggestion, I wouldn’t implement them.
