I suggest to add the possibility to moderators to ban users from frontend. Also would be good the possibility to ban only for certain nodes...would be a killer feature.
Hi Daniel,
Thanks for taking over these addons. I requested moderators being able to ban as a feature a while back and I was hoping you could add it now as part of your first update.
Thanks
My first release of Mod Essentials is available for download. In this release I added the ability to ban users and lift bans from the front end instead of having to go to the admin panel. I hope you enjoy it.
I am also launching my new shopping cart system. This is a much better system by @Chris D. It makes it a lot easier to see all your licenses, transactions, expiration dates, etc...
For people that bought Mod Essentials through @Syndol, I have applied coupons to your accounts based on how long you had your license through him. If you had a license for over a year, you are getting a 50% discount to bring your total to the same as the yearly renewal fee. If you had a license for over 6 months but less than a year, I gave you a 60% discount. If you had the license for over 3 months but less than 6 months I applied a 70% discount. If you got your license less than 3 months ago, I applied an 80% discount. This will add 12 months to your license and you will continue to get support and updates for the next year.
If you do not want to buy a new license, that is fine. I will release bug fix updates if there are any conflicts with XenForo 1.4 found or any major bugs. You only need to renew if you want new features.
You can purchase your license with your discount here and then download: http://xenmods.com/products/moderator-essentials.6/
If you do not automatically see your discounted price, please contact me. I was only able to transfer over roughly 20% of the licensed users due to not being able to match your email in @Syndol's file to an account here.
I think an important feature would be a link in each item that would create a new thread with the items details in a specific forum. aka a staff forum, this way staff can talk about a particular mod action if needed.
What's New:
- Ban members from front end
- Lift bans from front end
- Optionally have a discussion thread for every moderator action. You can select a node to post new threads in for each moderator action.
I have decided to release this before XF1.4 goes gold because there have been no issues this far. If an issue with 1.4 compatability does arise, I will release a fix to everyone regardless of if their license was renewed. In order to get ModEss1.3, you will need to renew your license by buying a new license at a discount through me. More info here: http://xenmods.com/threads/syndols-addons.248/ and http://xenmods.com/threads/licenses-for-syndols-products.281/
No, your license is fine. This only applies to people that bought before I took over from Syndol.I just bought the last version and I haven't even been able to use it yet because I'm not migrating for another couple of weeks. I need to pay more?
Can't wait to test it!Daniel Hood updated Moderator Essentials with a new update entry:

You need to register on http://xenmods.com with the same email you receive updates to. I'll then run a script that finds your licenses and puts you in the appropriate user groups to get the appropriate discount to purchase your new license(s).Can't wait to test it!
Will we receive an email when our licenses are migrated?
I've gone ahead and done that. You need to register on http://xenmods.com with the same email you receive updates to. I'll then run a script that finds your licenses and puts you in the appropriate user groups to get the appropriate discount to purchase your new license(s).
