I'm also looking for a way for mods to 1-click ban/clean posts by user upon seeing spam in a thread.

would buy if this mod can do this.
 
I almost am never able to understand the upgrade or install instructions for XF add ons. I follwed the readme and still get an error when uploading the .xml file in the ACP. I moved the contents of the ModEss folder to the library folder as shown but still get the error when I upload the new .xml file.

@LuvMeSumZen - What is the error you are getting?
Ensure your FTP is overwriting existing files. Perhaps try deleting the ModEss folder from the server and upload it again from the zip.
 
Sounds like you are trying to Install rather than Upgrade it. Are you choosing the Upgrade option?
 
Yes I think you are correct. I tried to install it. I need to re-install it now I think. I screwed it up but now do not know how to straighten it out.
 
You already uploaded the latest files and so all you need to do is upgrade it.
 
I deleted the files off the server last night trying to start over but just uploaded again and used the upgrade option and it seems to have worked. Thank you.
 
Is there a way to choose user groups that you want their actions to be logged?
We use user groups rather then the actual Xenforo moderator flag. Since we do it like that I can't seem to get their actions to appear in the moderator log.

Sorry for the odd wording.
 
@chickenputty - the moderator log keeps a record of moderator actions, therefore, in order to have an action logged the user must be a moderator.
I guess I'm a little confused as to what it is you are asking :unsure:
 
@Syndol I have a similar (maybe same) question as c'putty - is there a way to prevent moderators from seeing the actions of other mods or admin? Currently I have the add on disabled and am just using the mod logs in the ACP to see what my mods have done, but I do not want to mods to be able to see the moderator actions of the admin - can this be included in the next version?
 
Once again I'm not sure I understand. You may be an admin but if your actions are logged then you are also a moderator.
If you want to be the only one to use/view the front-end log then simply do not grant your other moderators the permission.
Those who do have the permission, only see actions they can view from forums they moderate.
 
I only want admin to be able to see the mod logs. I couldl not find a permission to prevent mods from seeing the mod logs of all other mods and admin.
 
Under General Moderator Permissions, select the moderator (in your case also an admin) and assign them the 'Can view moderator bar log counts'.
 
Does this mod allow mass moderation of threads from search results? I'm thinking this was a built-in feature in vB 3.8 but will have to confirm. My mods are asking about it after the import.
