Also would this be possible for the drop down like with conversations? Would be better that not alle are marked as read when viewing that..
The alerts page or the alerts dropdown list?Would it be possible to have the option on for everybody to not mark alerts as read when visiting the alert page?
The alerts page or the alerts dropdown list?
This add-on already supports the alert page not marking as read via the preference; "On viewing alerts page, do not mark alerts as read". I use it fairly heavily on my sites
For thread/conversation/report alerts, it generally marks them as read when you view them vs the email link itself.I have also BD Alerts (https://xenforo.com/community/resources/bd-alerts.1903/) installed. When you click the link in email the alert will be marked as read. This does not give a problem with this add-on?
I didn't even think to look at that page. I looked at Alert Preferences. Shouldn't that option be on that page instead? This add-on doesn't have any admin options, just a single end-user option; under preferences it adds the "On viewing alerts page, do not mark alerts as read" option.
Yes, it would make sense for that to be in there. This is one of my earlier add-ons, so it's options aren't well integrated.I didn't even think to look at that page. I looked at Alert Preferences. Shouldn't that option be on that page instead?

Feature details:

- User Option to prevent marking as read when accessing /accounts/alerts page.
- User Option to prevent summerization when accessing /accounts/alerts page.
- User Option to adjust summerization threshold
- ...
- Respect limit for alert pop-outs
/admin.php?options/list/alertsWhere can I set this limit? It still displays a load of alerts in the popup.
That are the only options I got:/admin.php?options/list/alerts
or
/account/alert-preferences
Where can I set this limit? It still displays a load of alerts in the popup.
The pop-up should only show upto 25 alerts. This is hardcoded into XF.There's no setting to specify the amount of alerts in the popup.
