A member of mine said that in Google Chrome via iPhone. Avatar's do not show up and then a couple of seconds later, nothing is working/showing on the site. Hope you can help us.
 
What is it about this theme that makes it so popular? It certainly can not be
about the depressing grey scale design of the theme.
(no offence intended)

and if it is not about the design, then why do people
buy this theme over others, what is so good about it?

Very newbie friendly. The design is awesome.

into dark themes, then nothing wrong with that....

Grey scale?

I'm using UI.X and I'm not using grey scale colours and mine isn't dark either.

I refer to the default theme on the demo...

Did you have to hire someone, or was it
easy enough customize the theme without a designer?
as I have no theme coding skills at all....

My fiancée and I did this ourselves. She did the logo & header, we did the colour scheme together. Colours etc were all changed using Style Properties in the ACP.

We bought UI.X because it works well as a mobile theme with the chunkier buttons and off-canvas menu, which you can see if you view the site on a mobile phone.

It maybe worth it. I am not really interested in putting a lot into the forum as they are difficult to
get going, and I would use the forum as a secondary place to post content that is too small for the site.

at the very least, I may consider doing two things.

1: upgrading to the latest xf version.
2: Install a better theme...

and that is about as far as I am willing to go...
unless some wildfire of users start signing up...
but like i said, forums are very difficult to startup...

My original idea was too disable signups, and use the
forum to post legal type notices and thats it...

However, I am on the fence...there are just too many
niche forums that already have 100k to over mil posts...
 
Minor issue:
When searching using the UI.X search bar, it doesn't respect the board URL parameters.

Like so I'm using index.php rewriting but the results page shows the link as using index.php?search/search.

Bug in css for the slogan. It is there under the navigation. You have to adjust the css to move it to the correct position.
