Current Litigation

In the only way we can - with truth and integrity.

You should all get some sort of superhero-type avatars to reinforce that message.

...but the MANGLEMENT is too busy trying to make money.
ha thats perfect.

Ill leave my opinions of a certain other product out, simply because i cant say anything that hasnt already been said thousands of times all over the internet. But for the record i do not hate vB the software. IB on the other hand well thats another story all together..

Like others, if it helps, I would like to make it clear that even before XF came along, I was already looking for alternatives, due to the fact that IB first launched an initiative to trick vBulletin license owners out of money, then subsequently made us wait for the software we paid for, and finally failed to deliver the promised software in good time.

The software I bought when I purchased my vB4 licenses so far has STILL not been delivered in an acceptable manner (I mainly talk about the poor integration of the CMS system). I had decided a long time ago that I would not repeat that mistake, and was actively looking for replacement forum software.

I wish XL all the best in this lawsuit.

Does anyone know when this case is supposed to go to court?
I don't think anything has been set yet. It's weird though, all this things seem to be stalled on the public side. Would of actually thought that IB was hoping to go strong and quick, but doesn't seem like it.

but i wonder if kier should actually go to california to defend himself or maybe court could establish a video conference there?

It'll depend on whether or not the court finds the proper jurisdiction for the case is CA, following the XF defense submission. It's possible the CA lawsuit can be thrown out, but it may be some time before even this information makes it to the surface.

I am the same, although I actually moved and started using Invision as IMO they simply overtook vbulletin since IB bought Jelsoft

In the US a response to the complaint must be filed by December 6th. In the UK allocation questionnaires must be filed by December 8th.

Wish you all the luck in the world. You and Mike have worked hard on this place and you deserve it.

Don't hold your breath folks, the last lawsuit I was involved in lasted about 2 years before it was dismissed by the plaintiff, but I kept it going by answering every motion, I also defended myself without an attorney (not recommended), I guess I just got lucky by following a pattern from other lawsuits I researched online in listing my counter lawsuit causes of actions in my answer to the charges in the complaint.
