Conversation Essentials

Conversation Essentials [Paid] 1.14.1

No permission to buy ($45.00)
  • Thread starter Thread starter Syndol
  • Start date Start date
Staff groups can bypass this limitation. If I remember well, you have option for that somewhere in this mod acp options or usergroup permissions

There is an option to filter by tag prefix. Is there an option to filter and "remove" by tag prefix. Lets say I label 10 threads (completed projects) and I don't want to view these in conversation inbox, is there a way to filter and remove them without deleting/removing yourself from the conversation.

One more thing I wanted to point out, when you reply to threads that have been ongoing discussions for a while, it seems to mark them as "unread". How do you change this so when you reply to the conversation it automatically marks it read rather than unread.

Check the boxes and click "Leave Conversation" on the little overlay that pops up.

That should already happen, I might be wrong though. How are you replying to the conversation without reading the conversation though?

  • Click on individual conversation
  • Scroll to bottom
  • Reply back
  • Go back to conversation inbox
  • It's being marked "unread" (I need it marked "read"
That's a summary of what is happening.

How can people see if the conversation is read?
Is this automatic or must you select it so that the other user can see you have read it?

Also is the inbox limit size per message or per mb? Because you can say for example mx 20 messages but they can keep talking on one message forever...

And deleting of conversations?

When enabled, it just shows under each person's information on the conversation participants block.

It depends on all this:

Number of conversations, not number of messages though. For example you could limit it to 10, and one conversion could have 100 messages and they wouldn't hit their limit. 10 conversations could have 1 message each and they'd be at their limit.

And deleting of conversations?
Not currently in the feature set but it has been suggested.

Hi Daniel,

I am trying to configure [bd] Push Notifications and as per the attachments, wondering if any of these are linked to either Conversation Essentials or User Essentials and if so, do you know which Phrases I can edit to correct these?

On top of that, as you can tell there would be four conversation options for the Push Notifications, do you recommend I offer all of them or can I safety untick the conversation ones so no one can select them?

Thanks

have some information about to implement in your add-on ?

kind regards

lemmi

If you configure your usergroups permissions to allow group conversations, they can then create a list with x (whatever you set it to) members and then in the future, you can use that list to make a large conversation rather than individual users one at a time.

yes habe allow group conversation

but i have 10 groups ... and to great a list is really big (over 80 people in one group) but its better i can choose a group , and the pn goes to all members in this group . you now what i mean ?

If you are referring to a group by another add-on then that will not work.

If you have set the permissions correctly to allow groups and how many you can have in each group (I think that was an option) then when you create a conversation there should be a navigation menu which allows you to create a group and add people to it.

I am not able to check my forum at the moment so I cannot direct you completely but I think the above is correct in the procedure to make the conversation groups.

Hello, juste purchased the script, thanks for your work.
A question, sorry if it has already been answered, but i did not read the 40 pages.
Is it possible to create a link to automatically start a group conversation with preset title.
Ex : add?to=group_name&title=title

What i am looking is the possibility for a member to automatically launch a new conversation with a group. I understand that he has first to create manually a group in his settings or is it possible to automatically set groups to member preferences ?

Thanks for support.
