I plan to add an option that allows you to bulk export messages to thread.

A good idea. I actually really like your current archive functionality, but buyers will be reassured that they can have everything backed up to their forum in case they ever want or need to switch to another chat addon.

@Siropu just upgraded. i turned off chat rooms and its still says i haven't joined any rooms and won't let me actually type anything into the chat. all permissions set to chat so far as i can tell.

2 questions - how can i get rid of the board title at the top and how can i shrink the forum list chat box down some?

also, if i enable private conversations, and then click on private conversations, there seems to be no possible way to get back to the chat without sending the private conversation. even when i change the view to the chat in the nav tab it still wants me to start a private conversation.

If you enable conversations, you have to enable rooms as well so you can switch from one to another using the tabs. In the next release it will join the default rooms even if rooms are disabled.

I can't seem to find a setting to enable direct image uploads in the chat. I tried to set the only permission I found to Unlimited, 0 or any numbers, but the only thing I see in the chat is remote picture linking only.

Users can already freely upload pics in posts, but not in the chat.

Once you set the permission "Upload images", a new button will be added to the editor from where you can upload and insert images.

Thanks for replying, I can't seem to notice any new bbcode buttons, just the usual ones with one with the picture icon. When I select it, I'm prompted to put a url only, with no possibilities to upload from my machine.

If you have set the permission, it should look like in the the attached image. Analyze permission to make sure that you have the permission to upload images.

Found the issue. I also use [KL] Editor Manager and if I disable it, I can see the additional bbcode to upload a picture, while if I have it enabled, I can't see this button.

Any solutions?

I think the solution has to be provided by the author of that add-on since it is changing the normal behavior of the editor.

Ok so what about disabling rooms and private conversations and still not being able to chat?

Hi there.. sorry if this has already been asked.. but I can not find the answer / I am not sure if I get it right:
Can this also be used as a shoutbox on one page? with live-updates and where useres can see shouts that were made in the past before they logged in?
Or do I need to buy your shoutbox for this, too?

Since that add-on overwrites the editor buttons, there is nothing I can do. It looks like the add-on doesn't support custom editor buttons without bbcode so I can't patch that for him.

Couldn't the bbcode function be called in a different way so that it doesn't get overridden by his add-on which seems to replace bbcodes by match?
