What's that?modern web users?
I'm fifty years old and haven't used the word "web" in at least ten years.
What's that?modern web users?
I already forgot that I created the suggestion and that it lead to the paid registration addon created. And unfortunately abandoned. Its interesting to see how few votes the suggestion has while there are many posts on this forum requesting this as one of the most wanted things for xenforo.Choose Account Upgrade at registration [2018]
You can kind of do this by giving a warning (0 points) and displaying it publicly. Not as fancy as all these because there's only 1 style, but it works, and should work for most forums that don't need such styling customizations.5. custom bb codes for moderators, beautiful like this https://codepen.io/uiswarup/pen/RwNraeW
The maths timetable? You mean the LaTeX extension? That's available already as an addon.Am discussing it with my crew.
They seem interested in the new editor. They're hoping that the maths timetable is added.
But we all need to haz mathBut not planned for inclusion in the core editor. Utilising additional extensions may require additional steps, not least the relevant BB code to support it.

Yeah ! ****ing privacy !! North Korea style !1. Administrators should be able to see all direct messages on the site.
You think big boards don't already have this enabled on their forums and aren't already able to use the search function that searches conversations too, and as if they wanted to read your convos, they'd have to go directly to the database?Yeah ! ****ing privacy !! North Korea style !![]()
But given that they aren't called private messages I don't expect people to assume they are private. In my privacy policy I make it clear the circumstances under which they may be shared with others:Conversations are private, by principle, but not secured, i know.
For example:
Please note that this is standard for any forum or social media site. Our policy is to not access personal conversations or allow any third party access unless exceptional circumstances require it. However you are advised to be aware that nothing you say in DMs on this forum, or other forums is truly confidential in terms of absolute privacy.
- Requests from law enforcement agencies with the appropriate warrants.
- Any action needed to be taken by admin to ensure the legality and security of the forum, for example if there are good grounds to suspect fraudulent or other illegal activity.
If you don't agree with this part of the privacy policy, please consider using alternative forms of personal communication between yourself and other members, such as encrypted email, postal service or telephone. Also bear in mind we are not advising that any of these will give you any more actual privateness.
For this reason we do not actually call them Private Messages or Private Conversations – although they do function in the same way as "PMs" on any other forum software or social network, with one main difference: this is that you have control over whether other participants are invited into the conversation. Hence it can be more of a conversation between several people rather than a message to one person.
I couldn’t care less what people send to each other, as long as it’s not harassment. We often get PM advertisements no one cares about, luckily those are quickly reported.Obviously if one of your members kills 100 people in a college and the FBI asks to read his conversations... But when I start a conversation with a member on XenForo I assume that it is private, since not public. Afterwards I'm not stupid, if the administrator absolutely wants to read my conversations then he can... Some have principles they stick to, others are as curious as weasels...![]()
What is practical on XenForo, in the case of harassment in a conversation, is that you can invite anyone, therefore a member of the staff, and have them see the facts. Thus the staff can possibly take disciplinary measures.as long as it’s not harassment
If you really want your messages private, I'd encourage:Obviously if one of your members kills 100 people in a college and the FBI asks to read his conversations... That's good to know but I wouldn't need it. I wouldn't share overly sensitive data in a conversation anyway... The most secret thing I could say in a conversation on XenForo is that @Paul B annoys me sometimes! If you really want your messages private, I'd encourage:
