I guess it would be a good opportunity to clean up the future fix bug reports forum
He means fix them in XenForo 2...Well, they technically haven't been fixed yet.
Namespace support for addons would be neat.
Mike and I aren't even in a position to describe the extent of the backward compatibility breaks at this point (although we know that they will be extensive).
I remember reading somewhere where Mike or Kier said they wanted to move away from ZendYou mentioned framework, is Zend still a part of that?
I agree. Best we can do is create a special warning that have the points necessary to generate an auto-ban.One feature I would like to see is an option for the moderator usergroup to be able to BAN MEMBERS without needing to make them part of the Administrative usergroup.
I remember reading somewhere where Mike or Kier said they wanted to implement a better way to manage our sidebar content so that's probably going to happen in 2.0.Is there going to be there a system similar to Widget Framework add-on ?
I think talking about 2.0 before releasing 1.4 or even close.. is sort-of jumping the gun. Not that I'm complaining, it's just a bit soon.
Otherwise: Bring it on!
Using NoSQL would epic, however, do you think the typical cheap datacenters like most xenForo customers use would implement NoSQL to support it on their shared hosting packages?* A bit tied in with the above, but I can see a NoSQL database option giving a big performance boost, and it would replace memcache.
* Support for updating code on a server farm
I'd love to do this, but how many XenForo customers do you suppose have access to the necessary long-polling webserver? Trying to achieve it with Apache or similar would have apocalyptically bad consequences. An option for a twitter style auto-updating reverse date posting layout where posting is expected to thick and fast
