Not currently (there is an open suggestion for it). Right now it would require some template/css edits. IIRC, @MattW has a solution that he might be willing to share with you.

It seems that the XML is too big for my server. The update runs into an 500 server error ..

When i try to uninstall the addon i get this error ..
Code:

Same error trying to upgrade a previous version on XF 1.5

Same error trying to upgrade a previous version on XF 1.5
That only applied to INSTALLING a fresh version. It still applies when upgrading as you need to be running SC 2.4.0 Beta 3 or greater before upgrading to SC 2.5.0. Download SC 2.4.0, upgrade to that first, THEN upgrade to SC 2.5.0.

Hey Gang, Hoping someone can help me? I really dont even know how to explain what i need to do, but here goes.. Can someone please help me figure out how to use the Regular Expression or PHP Callback options to call a bbcode as a value match requirement when creating a new showcase item field??

Hi Bob,

Purchased this now and just wondering if we use 50 x 50 thumbnail is that going to cause an issue and if so we will switch to another view.

Cheers

If you only use LIST VIEW for your layouts. You also won't be able to use the Sliders (they require large thumbs). You'll need to disable the Sidebar Gallery (at least the cover image part). Other than that, you'll be fine.

Thanks, we have a gaming forum and getting larger images is a pain so using monster avatars that are 50 x 50...not sure there is a 100 x 100 version so I'll have to do that, cheers!

Still in the plans, just not sure when as it is very low priority (only a 2 people have interest in it).

Hi,

I would also be highly interested in a Reviewpost importer. Without one I can not buy showcase. Simple as that. I run currently xenforo with Reviewpost with their addon version 1.0. Very basic.

Reviewpost has increased it prices and the prices for renewing licences. The latter one about 200%. So Reviewpost costs now every year 89.-$. This is insane for a design from the 90is...

So if you make us a good price for a reliable Reviewpost importer, I would pay that on top of the price of this addon. If others participate in funding this importer even better. It can not be that hard to program an importer for this.

But even without funding it, looking at the history of Reviewpost, how many licences they have sold, always focusing on vbulletin and what their business strategy is now, it is a no brainer to seduce Reviewpost user to your addon.

But no vb user with reviepost integrated or as stand alone will switch to xenforo, if there is no alternative with an import script ;)

I've added your request to the Showcase Suggestion forum to gauge interest: Reviewpost Importer | Xen Addons btw, you are more than welcome to register and post suggestions. Also, make sure to check out @Daniel Hood XenReviews addon. It might already have an importer (not sure, you'd have to ask Daniel) Also, there are a couple developers here that do have experience developing custom importers for Showcase. I'll reach out to them to see if they are interested.

If you want (need) an addon that allows you to upload files for users to DOWNLOAD, then you will want to use the Resource Manager. It is by far the best option available and is a 1st party addon.
If you want (need) a GALLERY, then you have a few options. You should at least consider the top two: XFMG (my personal choice, plus its a 1st party addon) or XenGallery (another excellent gallery addon).
If you want (need) an addon that has a TON of configuration options (both global and per category), that allows users to create content to showcase their items/products/reviews etc, is easy to setup/configure right out of the box with no customization needed, are OK with using a 3rd party addon, then you will probably like what Showcase has to offer.

Can we talk about tighter integration with XenGallery again?

I have licenses for both XenGallery (my favorite by a mile) and XFMG. The way that I want to move my sites forward is with XenGallery and Showcase working together to make a Garage section.

However, the last time I checked, Showcase did not have direct integration with XenGallery so in order to get a final product like is seen below, I have to use XFMG, which quite honestly I don't really care for the way it works.

If I can't get that, I wouldn't mind having XFMG exist just for Showcase, with no ability for any other images to go up there and then I'd use XenGallery as the actual gallery system.

Thoughts? If it's not going to be officially supported, then how might I go about custom work for this, maintenance releases, etc.

I've added your request to the Showcase Suggestion forum to gauge interest: Reviewpost Importer | Xen Addons ...

I do think you will get the most reaction if you make a suggestion/request poll in the official xenforo forum. Most people will look here if they have questions about importers for RP.

Apart of that, it is always the chicken/egg problem. Will demand rise if the importer is already there or do you think demand has to be first in black and white before developing an importer?

Xenfore would have never reached the sales it has now, if they would not have offered an importscript for vbulletin. For Review software, there is simply nothing else out there except Reviewpost. So Reviewpost is the vbulletin of Review software. If you want to have these users, you have to offer the import script first.

If there are developers for these kind of import scripts out there, feel free to contact me with a quote.

I am in the same boat. I much prefer XenGallery. I do not use my XFMG licenece at all and have no plans to change that. Especiall not now, since it is bound on my XF licence. I am not intersted in upgrading my gallery as often as my forum.

XenGallery is just much more like a real gallery, has the features I want, looks better etc. (all this is very subjective of course) and support is also superb.

Can we talk about tighter integration with XenGallery again?
Sure, at the support site, there is an existing thread already: Considered - integration with xenGallery | Xen Addons So far only 4 people are interested (4 is hardly enough for me to spend a lot of time on a complex integration for a 3rd party addon regardless of how good of an addon it might be). Please provide DETAILS of what you want (as well as starting another thread explaining more details for the XFMG integration).
