I'd like to see a Discussion Tab what would bring the showcase items directly into the action of the Forums. Seeing new showcase item discussion in the What's New would help drive traffic to the Showcase.

Seems like this could easily be used for Reviews.

What's new is only for Discussion Threads ( you should know this by now as its been mentioned 1000's of times )

Ya, one of the things 8thos brought up during beta testing was Dsicussion Tab (Thread integration) instead of comments system. Its something that I am looking into for a future version as I tend to agree with it and kinda like the way the RM does it.

I have no intentions of changing the category pages to a completely different look/functionality. It wouldn't take much to do it however (if you know what you are doing). I am simply not interested. I like it the way it is or I would have done it differently

Just approve your account, so you can test it out be creating items on the demo.

1). Yes, each item has its own comments functionality. No, only ratings at this time, but I may consider adding reivews on ratings functionality similar to the RM.

2). Each Tab uses the xenforo editor (the same one for threads). Yes, you can embed youtube.

3). I'll consider it.

4). Yes. Each module can be enabled as well as each has its own setting for the number of items to display... ie, you can have 15 recent, no popular and 3 Top Rated.

5). I will be adding in sorting capabilities for Category pages, one will be by Title.

Chris Deeming's BB Button Code works with this addon which is great because that addon didn't work with The Library.

I was able to fit in almost 3 chapters in one tab using Rigel Kentaurus Tabbed BB Codes.

If you use this addon in conjunction with all the other cool addons on Xenforo then you are in for a real treat.

This does exactly what it says it does and does it very well.

I'm really looking forward to RSS and Discussion Tab integration so that I can move my own xenforo resources to the showcase.

Showcase having it's own RSS feed would be a tremendous update.

Why I Prefer Showcase Over The Library...

Although you can create as many pages as you like in The Library, I prefer the look and layout of Showcase due to it's smooth home page and category layout, built-in 5 star rating system, ease of use, compatibility with most other addons and image gallery. The following is a prime example of both Rigel's Tabbed BB Code and Chris' BB Code working inside a category I created on my site called 'Stories'

A category can have up to 5 pre-defined tabs set by the administrator. I created 5 tabs for the 'Stories' category called Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4 and Part 5. As you can see in my link below only the Part 1 tab shows. The other tabs don't show if you don't add anything there. The Image Gallery tab is not an added tab, it just automatically shows after you saved your item but only if you uploaded an image while your editing inside one of the tabs.

In my Michael Jackson Fan Fiction called 'Stroman' I only filled out one tab.

In the first tab alone I was able to add a story that is 17, 123 characters and 3,010 words.

I used Rigel's Tabbed BB Code to create my own tabs (Prologue, Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3).

If I need to add more chapters I can either add to the first user tab or to the admin set tab called Part 2.

I personally suggest adding more chapters under a different tab to reduce the possibility of your browser crashing after reaching the limit.

The required user data is exposed, so a simple template edit is possible to include the users avatar. Im not sure I want to redo the layout to included it, but certainly will think about it. Can you please post this (and the others) in the suggestions area on the support site so we can track and discuss? Thanks

Not familiar with pinterest, but will check into it.

And have the "Showcase" set to show at the Homepage....?

Not sure how to go about that to be honest as I've never had the desire to set an addon route to the "home" page. Probably similar to how a few people have done it for the Recent Activity page. I'd have to look into it. Maybe Jake knows.

Would Syndols "Bookmark Add-on" work with this Add-on ?

I don't have that addon, so I am not sure. If it supports other add-ons, then I don't see why it wouldn't.

That's sounds great. While I said it would be good if SC could handle downloads, it does make more sense to me to keep it as a seperate addon.

Will it have the ability to add a download that is hosted off site? That would be useful for people whose hosting restricts a lot of download/file sharing etc.
