Add-on MicroCart

Micheal,

Just a question, and I guess i sorta know the answer... Those of us that were originally registered and purchased with Maria - Do we get a small discount on your new xF version?

Either way, looking forward to it's release :)

Paul

All members that have a license with my site for the vbulletin version will get a discount for this version.
As for the ones that payed for this with maria will have to email me proof of purchase,
once i get this i will give them a coupon code to use when buying the script.

I will be reviewing the price of the script as alot of you dont want the script encoded.
I can tall you the price will not be the same as the vbulletin version as this will not be encoded for this forum system.
The price for the vbulletin version not encoded is about $250 and it comes with branding free as well.

When i am closer to releasing this i will announce the price for this cart system.
I know you are saying this is a high price to pay but thats the price it would be with the full source code prople are paying for the vbulletin version.

The only thing i will say about the price for the version here will be no more than $200 for the full source code.

- does this add-on allow each of my members to have their "own" shop at my website ?
- why do you use another editor than the one used here at XF ?

thanks!

I dont like the tinymice editor thstd just me.

With this shopping system you will be able to turn the multi-vender system on or off,
if its on then yes your members will be able to sell there own products within your shop.

Michael,

Well having searched back through the last 5-6 years of paypal and mails, i cant seem to find it :(... Pls keep the ioncube version an option though, since the $200-$250 tag would be too expensive for most i would guess (at least myself!).

Any indications on timescales? Also do you require any beta testing? Would be only too happy to assist..

Cheers
Paul

The style is the default style XF is using,
if you have another style installed it will use that style.
I'm referring to the buttons used, the background color, etc. That isn't default XF.

It's just my personal opinion, but if you can update the look to be more Magento, less OSCommerce, you'll have a major seller on your hands. I know I would buy it (sans IonCube).

Hi there

I have changed this look now to use the XF style you have installed.
I will show some screenshots soon of diffarent styles soon for the main page.

As for the pricing there will be the option to buy the cart encoded if need be,
and there will be 2 types of encoding that you will be able to choose from so that if you dont want to use ioncube you can choose the other one.

With the ioncube one you will need ioncube installed on your server and with the other one you would not have to install anything to the server.

Last bit too, might want to adjust it even though it's not a release thread or anything, but it's not xenfono ;)

With multiple sellers, I have a few questions.

  • I assume that they sell on my storefront and not that they have a storefront of their own. Is this correct?
  • If they set up payments do they have to go through me or can each seller have their own PayPal (or whatever) account associated?
  • If one of my users has an item in the shop does it show it is from him or her? Or does that need to be in the description?
I'm actually quite excited about this!

Here i can say

The items a vender adds to your shop will show in the main page but whem they view an item they can click view sellers shop,
What this will do is send them back to the main page but it will show only the items from that seller as there own store front page.
When the user clicks on an item or a category it will show all items from all sellers again.

Venders will have there own payment option and you can set a fee the vender will pay for selling there items within your store.

Only when you view an item will it show who the seller is.

Im glad you are excited about this so am i to get it out there for everyone to use.

The only thing i have not added to this system yet is the page layout manager that i will be adding in the next release of this.

With the page layout you will be able to move the blocks around with drag and drop as well as activate and disable the widgets for each page of the shop.

here are some more screenshots on the progress of this cart system.
i have added 2 images from the main page showing you that it will use the style you have installed within the shop system.

Looks nice, and I can see myself picking up a copy of this.

The one thing that currently turns me off is being forced to pick between the IonCube requirement or pay the equivalent of two (!) XenForo licenses. I hope you will reconsider on the pricing of the un-endcoded solution, as it really does look like a nice cart system. I just simply cannot warrant paying double the amount of the license of the forum it will be running on.

(edit: I hope a comment like that will be acceptable and within the forum rules. I'm not complaining about the price, just trying to put things into perspective a little).

Hi there m8

The reason for the pricing as it is, is down to me being ripped of so many times.
As a programmer i need to protect my self and the work i do,
so when members buy the source code they are doing so for one reason,
thats to use the script for there own use and not buying it for other users.
Not only are you getting the source code with this you are also getting branding free included.
With buying a license for Xenforo witch is
$140 and then you buy branding free with that at a cost of $250 thats a total price of $390
so in afftect my pricing is about right for what im offering you.
You look at the pricing for other cart/shopping systems out there that do what this cart system can do,
you will see that they are all about the same price as what im asking.
Also alot of the cart/shopping systems out there will not let you have multiple venders its just for the store owner.

Xcart is about $200
Cubecart £120.00
ViArt Shop $349.00

Avactis Shopping Cart - Premium $449
Avactis Shopping Cart - Owned $249
This is just a few and you can see that cart system cost alot and i think mine is worth every penny for something thats going to make you money in the long run, as you will get that back from the sales on your site.
Also if you use the multi-vender system you get commission from every item they sell.
This cart system microcart has options for you to make money not just from what you are selling but also what your members might sell as well.

im hopping to have this beta testing within 2 3 weeks if all goes well.
This will be in beta testing for a week then will be released.
