Discord Integration [Paid] 2.8.8

No permission to buy ($35.00)
Worst support from Dev.

I installed the addon according to the installation guide.
The support tickets are answered late and inaccurately. As you can see on the screenshot, the last one has been unanswered for a week now.
Once again wasted money for an addon with worst support.

I was away on holiday since last night. There was a prominent notice on the support site about this.

My last response there still applies though. I would recommend following the installation guide again and that should resolve your issues.

@Naz has always answered our support questions, although sometimes delayed - he has always answered. In the current climate of Xenforo, I don’t see him as an example of “worst dev support”.

With support for XF2.3 getting added, will there be more work done for bidirectional Discord thread support?

From discussions on his forum, I hear that's the case.
That is in-regards to initial support I believe.

Bidirectional syncing of user information / roles is what that thread is about and there's been a bit more work for that but it's not totally done yet.

In terms of bidirectional thread support, I'd like to look at it but there's not been a whole lot of interest as far as I can tell.

I don't think people realize it is a way to be able to move traffic between forums and also Discord, allowing them to maintain activity that they would not be able to currently.

I know for myself it will be very important on a few sites.

I'm interested, too Naz.(y)

There are actually people who write on Discord, but fewer in the forum. Don't know why... but it is, as it is....

The Discord widget on the right side of the forum is slowing down the site a lot. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

What processor do you have on your pc? you could try this:

Try with widget on and off, compare.
The image rendering also becomes an issue as you're calling every image that is displayed as well.

I ended up doing a custom button that shows the number of users online instead of the official widgets, and haven't noticed less adoption of the Discord.

You can limit user outputs though?

I did tests on multiple sites over several periods of time, and found that there really was no difference between showing the users or not showing the users. I also did not see much change after ditching the user list entirely, and while the adoption rate has gone up so has activity and registration rates so I cannot accurately estimate compared to the testing data.

I don't know if it's just me who has this problem.

All pages that depend on the Discord integration are running slowly.
