So you haven't configured the item to change your user name's style, what exactly are you expecting it to apply? I'm confused.

I've tried multiple times. I've put in a color, i've selected "bold", i've tried about 10 times on different accounts and nothing changes.

You need to actually save that information then, since you showed me a screenshot of an item that has not been configured.

xf_dbtech_shop_purchase is the DB table you'll need to inspect in order to see whether the entry still exists.

That isn't useful as I don't know the user ID nor the purchase ID of the item you configured earlier in your screenshot, sorry

The issue was your setup. Your item was configured to be discarded immediately after configuring, which means it would never apply. Furthermore, the shop wasn't accessible to registered users, meaning any items purchased would not take effect because of those permissions.

After correcting both these misconfigurations, the item works as expected.
