Current Litigation

Why not. Just go, it's public. Would be a fun experience to sit in - just don't bother anybody and let them do their thing :) I doubt Kier and Mike will be there though, surely they are going to keep costs down by having a legal agent act on their behalf. So don't expect a signature on your old 3.x license. :p

The hearing should take about ten minutes, and is unlikely to be a hugely scintillating affair.
If that's the case, then it might not be worth making the trek back and forth. It's a minimum of 45 minutes into downtown LA on a Monday morning -___-;

ManagerJosh : Imagine the hits vbtruth will get! You HAVE to do it.
lol

Hahah. I'm sure Veritas and Chronos would love me for doing it since they have been trying to talk me into going in all of last week. But if anything, (and sorry to Veritas and Chronos)... but I'd probably write about it on my own site first over the vbtruth site :p

Toonaat, ay is chillin' it, innit.

u is chillin' wat?

The champagne?

Anyway, an old Irish toast to the xF gang:

Here's to those,
that wish you well.
Those that don't,
can go to hell.

Get them to text the result to you, then you can come post it

Actually they wanted me to go and sub in for them. Veritas is on the east coast this week doing something (I'm guessing another audit) and Chronos is somewhere in the midwest doing his usual IT work.

They are an "eh" objective news site, if you publish it on yours, then they can (i guess) re-use (fair-use wise) your content as a source. They don't ask you to write on their behalf after all - they can go themselves if they want exclusivity ;0

I'll sum them up for you very succinctly.

1) Do XenForo or I maintain a presence in California, or especially target California in any of our actions?
If 'no', dismiss the case for lack of personal jurisdiction.

2) Has a case alleging the same wrongdoing and seeking the same remedy already been filed elsewhere?
If 'yes', dismiss the case for forum non conveniens.

Those are the only things being decided tomorrow.

If that W. person says in writing she's the lawyer representing them, and she's indeed not registered in CA where she practices, where it is indeed required to do so, that's a technicality a judge might desire to frown upon - leaning using it to weight in towards considering dismissal.
