Just to be clear, this allows all the features of the free add-on Conversation Improvements as well?

This add-on is compatible with Conversation Improvements, and a couple features which used to be in Conversation Essentials where removed as they are available in Conversation Improvements.

A small reminder about two things I posted some time ago:

1. Moderator Right: "Splitting Conversations". So when in a conversation a user suddenly changes the topic, you can split the conversation (detach posts and make a new one) and give it a new title.
2. STARRED Conversations: Reported that very long time ago. Starred Conversations do not have the Conversation Wrapper yet. Also I think it would need some better integration. Maybe it's worth to improve and make it "essential" and more convenient to use (for example "starring" a conversation the same way like you can switch "read/unread" and then they automatically become "sticky"...).

The next version of User Essentials (the add-on introduces this feature) implements this. I definitely agree it needs more integration work.

This is not a feature that Conversation Essentials implements nor do I plan to include into Conversation Essentials.

How can we disable or hide this? I prefer the 1.1 look where this isn't displaying. It screws up some of our automated bots have to recode them so hoping you can help at x this part out

By the way I wrote to you about 4-6 months ago @Xon about how conversation essentials was causing huge load issues. Your 1.2+ update apparently has fixed that. Running smoothly now. Not sure what you did.

Ensure no on has the "[ConvEss] Can create conversation filters" permission makes it go away, not sure why it happened on upgrading.

There was a lot of performance tuning & tweak

Also is there a delete conversation option still? I noticed it was removed in this update.

The delete message functionality was disabled in 1.9.0 before I took it over, and I haven't really touched it to investigate in enough detail why

Correct. And if you want to keep Conversation Likes (the data would have been converted into the format that XenForo/Conversation Improvements use)

Not needed. Concern is conversation search isn't working but you're telling me installing conversation improvements will fix that correct?

Convess Cache is missing.

Likely need to manually apply the SQL. Will continue in a PM.

Xon updated Conversation Essentials with a new update entry:

1.12.5 - Maintenance update

• Improve prune old conversation feature to prevent accident activation, and improve input handling.
  • Required an additionally opt-in checkbox.
  • Prevent php type juggling from potentially accidently activating this feature.
  • I recommend disabling the "[Conversation Essentials] Prune Messages" cron task if you don't require this feature, this will persist across upgrades.

Loading the conversation inbox (where it displays all conversations) loads faster than the 1.11 version but loading conversations individually now has slowed down quite a bit. Any reason behind this?

It definitely gets more stuff than standard, but it shouldn't be noticeably slower. I did notice the thread export stuff needs some work.

Can you PM me with the debug output (ie query count) for with the add-on enabled and disabled?

Remove some poor query behaviour which caused an arbitrary number of queries to be executed instead of a single query up-front.

• Make Copy To Thread permission check more efficient
• Make last read date handling more efficient
