breaks the whole chat as soon as you post that it breaks it but you need to have the BBM manager installed and have imported that bbcode.

@XxUnkn0wnxX, since all the bbcode issue you are having are related to that add-on, there is nothing you can do on the chat side to fix that.
@x8BiTw0LFx, are you referring to the "Default joined rooms" option? It works with join multiple rooms user group permission but it might not work that well with guests because you need a chat session and they can't have one as guests.
@Blast, do you get it multiple times? I don't know why you would get that.

but it only breaks the chat not the forums. in forums it works just fine, posting thread, post, profile post.

so how does the Chat Phrase Custom bbcodes? how is it different to how Xenforo is phrasing them? if XF isn't having any issues why chat having an issue?

i Remember when i used TaigaChat it never had this issue phrased all the bbcodes just fine like a normal post reply.

So there is no way to add support from BBM? or at the very least allow the blocking of custom Third Party BBcodes in options "Disallowed BBCodes"

so i can have these BBCodes in forums but not enabled in chat.

That's probably because that add-on has been designed to work with XF's native features. The chat uses BBcodes the same way as threads and posts so I don't know what's the problem. Add-on author should know you what's going on.

Priority - Let's say you have 1 response that is triggered by the word "cat". You want to create a new response that is triggered by the word "cute cat". If you don't set priority to 1 for the second response, when you write "cute cat", it will trigger the first response because the keyword "cat" is found in the second keyword. This can also be fixed by using the option "Exact match" for the first response if you want it triggered only when the word "cat" is posted as the message.

Minimum Interval Between Responses - You set this if you don't want the response to be triggered every time the keyword is posted, to avoid spam.

If you want to set multiple keywords for the same response, you check the option "Use Multi-Keywords", and separate them by comma.
 
@Siropu great work here.

Is it possible to update a user's last seen indicator based on them viewing the room, rather than typing a message?

I've found people don't often chat when everyone in the room has a gray indicator. If this turned to green each time someone refocused the window I believe it would encourage more activity.
 
Yes, if you enable the option "Display chat page visitors in chatters list", but it will only work for the dedicated chat page.
 
When you check "Include username", it will include the username of the user who triggered the response, like a tag.
You check "Use Multi-Keywords" when you want to use multiple keywords separated by comma, on the field "Keyword".

I added a custom message Bot to advertise something for me and it doesnt seem to be working...

I set this up like 6 hours ago and the Word Donate Bot hasn't shown up once..

Minutes set to 0

and I have it to run every 3 hours as you can see I have set it every 3 hours.

and I have allow bot messages enabled in main Config

Edit: it seems to be running if I have if I have set to Intervals in Minutes as well. but if I have just hours and minutes set to 0 it wont run at all..

Hi there.

Can someone point me to the right template line for reducing the Toggled pop-up window size of the chat? I can't seem to locate the proper entry for it. I'm specifically talking about the total height of the window when a user clicks on the "Toggle Chat" button when a single chat message is displayed at the bottom of the page elsewhere on the forum.

Slapped that in there, but clicking the "Toggle Chat" button still causes the pop up window to fill most of the view.
 
Is the option "Enable maximized mode" checked in your user chat settings?
If not, try adding !important after the height, like this:
