It is blank by default. I will look into a way of copying the file to the custom file path after upgrade.

Are you using it with Position criteria > Item ID where id is the actual node id?
Are you using "Enable image lazy loading" admin option? If the above is set correctly and lazy loading is enabled, try disabling it.
