i am starting to get really annoyed by this

i have like 8 add ones they say need update but they don't because i have installed a leter version then the current release...

Nothing to fix on my part.

Please get annoyed at the authors of your add-ons who find it incapable of keeping the version number in the RM in sync with the version number they put in their add-on XML file.

e.g. You have version 2.2.2 installed, but the most recent version in the RM is 2.2.1. So, not me you need to get annoyed with.

Besides, if you scroll down the update check overlay there is an "Ignore this Update" button. Press that.

The 2.2.2 version is a Github release, not a Xenoro RM release. May be you should not have blamed developers so quickly. I'm just saying.

well i had this issue since day 1 of xenforo installation i thought this was a bug i just got around to posting such a message...

I'm just saying usually it is. If it isn't in this case good for you. (y)

Anyway not a bug. Either follow the advice, use the same version in the RM or uninstall and use a different add on.
 
Would it be possible to expand this add-on so that it can also work with other XenForo sites for add-on authors who have the download on their own sites?
 
With XF 1.4.0 Beta 3, Upgrading Similar Threads of @AndyB doesn't work :/
  1. I download the addon first
  2. Extract on my local machine
  3. Move the js and library files to upload folder
  4. Then ZIP the xml and the upload folder
  5. Upgrade via uploading the zip file doesn't work
 
The error is obscured. Any idea what it says?

Which add on or add ons are you installing here?
