So I tried to read through all 6 of these pages and basically it seems like a lot of people are having the same issues. How do you create a Template?

Looking at 8wayrun it's so nicely setup, but how am I supposed to set up something like this? Am I supposed to hire a Developer to do this or are there any tutorials here?

Is there a notification setting when a Wiki item is added or changed? What if someone creates a page full of crap, how would I know this and moderate it accordingly?

When I go to the wiki index and click Editors, there's nothing there yet I've created over 20 pages so far for testing purposes. Is there some error here?

Is there any integration with people's profiles on how much they contribute? Any way to make Trophies for it.

Is there a way to use the same style page that the "Page List" has where everything is in alphabetical segments?

Does it support Cyrillic ?
I checked free version and there are problems:

1) Page list letters are only english
2) Auto page linking is not working with cyrillic

Seriously, like for example, when it says "Wiki Index Rating 0" What does that mean exactly, and what does it do. When I get the hierarchy the way I *think* it should show as, then under "Page List" it shows just a "W" and lists everything under wiki index, no matter the beginning letter the topics start off with, then when I don't show it as (unspecified) for parent node, THEN all the topics show listed by the proper beginning letters, but don't seem to have any other organization method to accomplish both things. Showing in the page list correct, but also showing the tree order of topics correctly.

It's definitely confusing, but deceptively simply once you get it down. However, I don't think you will easy be able to just search parts of it....it's a simple wiki....

Example.....I created a new template on my wiki called testplate.
I put some stuff in there......
then I put that template into this page:
http://www.hearth.com/talk/wiki/test-page/?noRedirect=1

So the stuff from the testplate shows up in there!

But the code of that page shows as the pic.....
very basic, I know, but that should get you started.....

I downloaded it... no I hadn't come across it yet. I took a brief peek and my gosh! Looks like a LOT that I am hoping isn't over my head. It's been installed obviously already, going to look and see where is a good point to start out at within the tutorial.

Thank you so much! Will begin working on this in just a bit. For right now, trying to get a hold of my tech team as when I go to my forum I am getting some strange SQL error or something.

I think my little guide explains that......

A 1 is used for the top level categories - those you want to show up in the main index navigation such as the few on the right here

A 0 is used on all the rest.....those show up based on where you assigned them as a child or parent.

Jaxel, is there any way to have either a title (separate field) for uploaded PDF's and other docs - or, to have it show up better in the attachments tab. Maybe something is wrong with mine?

Hit the attachments tab and there are two PDF's, but the file names are buried behind them. Is that something I did wrong with the style? I don't think I modified anything.

See enclosed pic for how it looks now and how it ideally would look....

I read through that FAQ like 3 times and I still don't get it. I'm at the crunch point now. I'm ready to purchase a Wiki but whether it's going to be this at $80 (brand free) or VaultWiki at $70 is still up in the air. Is there still any support for this?

I still have so many questions that have gone unanswered in the previous pages both here and in the free version discussion thread.

If a user creates malicious pages, how will an admin know about this? There doesn't seem to be any alert system in place when wiki pages are created or edited.
Is there a way for users to select which template styles they want to use when creating a page? Like if I want pages for "Weapons" to all look the same can users choose a "Weapon Template" to base it off of?
The style of the Page List will be very useful for other areas as well, is there a way to create pages that are displayed the same way the Page List is?
Is there user profile integration with this that shows how much a user contributed to the wiki?
Is there going to be a way to custom organize links instead of having them organized alphabetically?
Is there any integrate between this and the Trophy system?
