Showcase Items contain the necessary micro data needed for Google to display star ratings on Showcase Item search results.

New Functionality: Discussion Thread integration
You can now set a discussion forum per category in which threads for new items will be created. This integration is similar to how the thread association is done with the Xenforo Resource Manager (tab back and forth).

New Functionality: Create Item as Draft
You can now choose an option to create your item as a "draft" and publish it when you are ready.

New Functionality: Nested Set Model for categories
Completely rewrote the entire categories system to use the "Nested Set Model" vs the "Adjacency List Model".

Note: You can still use the light weight comments system. This is enabled/Disabled per category.

You can now assign a parent Category to any Category (currently no limit to depth).

New Functionality: Item Sorting on Category and Member views
You can now sort the Category & Member pages by "Most Recent", "Top Rated", "Most Popular" and "Latest Updates". Default view is "Most Recent". Each Tabs results are paginated.

New XenPorta Block: A new "Center" Column block is available that allows you to chose how many images you want to display along with what additional content you want to display with them.. Options include Title of the Item that links to the item, Summary of the content, item rating and views.

New Feature: Category Content
Category Content allows you to add custom content (Plain Text or HTML) to the first page of a category. The custom content displays above the items listing.

New Functionality: Tab Description
You can now enter a description (plain text or HTML) for each Tab created within a category. These descriptions are displayed on the Create Item and Edit Item views only. They are intended for administrators to quickly and easily add "help" instructions for each individual tab.

New Functionality: Category Image
You can now category images that will display in the Showcase Homepage modules for items that do not have any images uploaded into the Items Gallery. There is also a default image place holder that will display if no individual category image is assigned.

New XenPorta Blocks: 5 new XenPorta blocks have been created. Each Block has its own Items limit and the Tabbed Block includes the ability to turn on and off individual tabs.

New Permission: A new Moderator Permission 'Mark Item Featured' has been added. Anyone with that permission set to 'allow' will be able to mark an Item "Featured".

New Functionality: Mark as Featured/Unfeature Item.
This is done via AJAX on the Item Page itself. Its a simple link saying 'Mark as Featured', ya click it and walla.. its now featured (and the link changes to say 'Unfeature Item'). The link is only visible to those with the 'Mark Item Featured' permission set to 'allow'.

New Functionality: Showcase Tab on Member Profile. Displays x number items (as set in the admin CP). Same display as on the Showcase Members page, but located on the Members Profile.

New Showcase Homepage Module: A new "Featured" module is available for the showcase home page. This module will display (in random order) x amount (admin configurable) of showcase items marked as "featured". As with the other Showcase Homepage Modules, Items MUST have at least 1 image uploaded to its image gallery (not a hotlinked embeded image in the content of a tab).

New Widget Framework Renderer: A new "Featured Items" renderer has been added to the Widget Framework. This works just like the other single renderers, cept the results are in Random Order.

Modified Widget Framework Renderer: The newly added "Tabbed Items" renderer (released with RC1) has been modified to add an option to display a "featured" items tab.
