Release overview:

1. Add-ons permissions are renamed, unique identifier is added to avoid conflicts with other add-ons.
2. Stats page now show the data for 1 month by default instead of all time data.
3. An issue with Can receive feedback is fixed.
4. A phrase correction.

How does the Unique Ratings option work?

If the option is enabled, it counts positive, negative, neutral and total feedback on per unique user basis. So if user x gave 10 positive feedback to the user, the positive feedback score will be 1, instead of 10, etc.

unique deal URL check
Can you please go a bit into detail? I'm coming from vBulletin, with iTrader. I have tweaked iTrader to accept only internal deal URLs, which I parse for the threadid. This threadid is used to create a normalized deal URL, which must be unique. With these changes it is impossible to rate the same deal twice.
Does this add-on have something similar? Or can it be tricked by using different URLs to the same deal?

Yes. Feedback System enforces the thread to be from forums, no external URLs can be specified as deal threads URLs and if Unique Deal URL option is enabled, the user can not give feedback for the same thread more than once. I'll double-check with 2.1.7 later this evening and get back to you.

I've just gone through and updated all add-ons that had updates available, but certainly the above is true with enabling/disabling XCFS 2.1.8 on my current setup. It could be quite possible there's an add-on conflict somewhere, I have almost 100 installed.. :cautious:

In this release we made queries optimization for several areas where Feedback System data is delivered. The changes will essentially decrease queries count for those areas.

I just opened a support ticket. After updating to 2.1.9 from 2.1.8, you get an error when opening threads you created in forums that do not use the system.

UPDATE: They are working on a patch.
