UI.X 2

UI.X 2 2.3.4.0.0

No permission to download
Hi there :D

I'm facing this problem with the visitor panel. It stuck with the "Loading" phrase.
1727052604289.webp

I get this error in my browser console

I tried disabling all my add-ons (Excerpt UI.X 2 add-on) to see if the problem disappeared, but nothing happened. It looks like the style can't load the ajax elements (Such as quick threads, Gravatar profile picture testing, and more).

Switching to xenForo default style, all works perfectly.

That's an interesting one; I can't reproduce it myself.

Unfortunately no; You'll need to do some template modifications for something like that. This could either be removing/hiding it from within the template itself, or using CSS to target it assuming the button provides a reasonably unique selector to target it.

hello,
ive tried the "easy custom navigation icon" instructions, but seemed to not work....does that need updating?
i even tried the exact example listed = fail.

i know i can switch it off and code them in manually, but i sort of like to rather use this extra attributes if you already have the code in there support it...

regards

Unfortunately, with XF's new implementation of icons the old method of adding icons to the nav won't work, so it is rather outdated. I'll make a note that we need to update that at some point.

okokok
how about this one :D
ive got grid nodes turned on....looks perfect on main page...clicking into a category that has threads and forums both listed, looks really bad tho...its trying to apply some of that code even tho its not actually a grid on this page....

if i turn off grid nodes, it displays a normal category list, without all the wierd flex stuff happening....how can i set main page to nodes and sub pages to not use that code?

....or if it displayed as an actual grid that might be ok too, its seems like a bit of a halfway mutant..

kind regards

If you use the advanced node grid, sub-nodes will display a little odd and will require some additional work to display in a more attractive fashion; In most cases we recommend folks disable the advanced node grid (under Appearance -> Style Properties -> [TH] Nodes: Grid, uncheck "Use advanced node grid").

hello,
i did see that....i had it unchecked but i tried a toggle to see what diff it made if it was on.....its the exact same so maybe that explains part?
i do some kinda heavy modding and "shortcutting" lol, but ive noticed this even on an unaltered style fwiw.

regards

i think i found another one just now too......

sig toggle seems not working, either setting a # or putting it to 0 both not working...seems like a nice feature tho.

Good catch; When XF released 2.3, they changed the LESS math function processing requiring modifications to every line that uses some general math functions, and looks like that one got missed.

I've got that fixed for our next update.

@willl , so you have to still run light and dark versions of the styles? I just can't install UI.X and enable variations and get the dark?

EDIT: I just read that variations are not included yet. Any ETA on it?

For now, yes: We were holding off on releasing a variations-ready version of UIX until XF fixed a couple of the color function bugs, but given how long it has been we may be waiting a while, so we may end up removing our reliance on the bugged functions instead (although I'm not particularly excited at that prospect).

I will note we'll probably - at least for the time being - maintain separate versions, just because some folks' customized styles may not translate well to the variations version.
