[TaylorJ] Blogs 1.2.2

No permission to download
Did you delete the addon before uninstalling it? Also what version of the addon?

I uninstalled it from the Xenforo menu as I had done with others before, so far, we hadn't had any problems

Version 1.0.0
I had installed it at the beginning of this year, the problem has arisen now that foro has been updated

What happens if you put the files back on your server? It's making me think the addon didn't actually get uninstalled, or that you're maybe trying to view a thread that was used for blog post comments? That could also make sense.

An attempt was made to clean it up as such, but I'll tell to try putting the addon back in, honestly we were never able to use the blog feature, and we were fine with that, that's why it was removed

I didn't expect it to not "disappear" and cause us interference now

Is this error happening everywhere causing the forum to be non useable what so ever? (If so can you DM a link) Or is this only when doing certain actions?

yes, the forum cannot be used in any way anymore

And in fact we do not understand why this still appears in the menu when the addon is supposed to have been removed.

I'd try re-downloading 1.0.0 and re-uploading the files then installing the addon again. After that upgrade to the latest version and then try uninstalling.

Also if you were having issues having the addon to show up make sure that the user group permissions were set properly that that user group is allowed to even see the blogs tab/pages/etc.

A premium version of this addon can be found on my site in my signature! Right now it only has Similar Blog Posts as an extra feature but will be getting others shortly, one being multiple blog authors/owners feature.

Hi! It's me again. We've had... problems, caused by your addon, in fact, the forum has been down for a while, and we finally had to try to clean everything up

Now, if I try to update the website without including your addon, it gives me this error:

1732306955421.webp

If I include it, it gives me this error:

1732306966042.webp

We have discovered (by manually removing everything); that what is causing the second error is this folder: ThreadType, que contiene esto:

1732307017472.webp

I'm here to ask if there is any way to change something in it, to see how it causes the interference, I don't know if you have any ideas.
Thanks :c

If I include it, it gives me this error:

By this do you mean you included the addon's files and then tried to upgrade your XenForo installation?
or
Did you re-install the addon and then try the XenForo upgrade? If so on this one did you try to update the addon to the most recent version first and then try uninstalling it via the acp?

I'm not sure why it's causing your issues, it seems the addon was not properly uninstalled but I'm also still confused by what you mean you installed it at the beginning of the year as this addon wasn't out at that time (unless you meant Month at the time of that posting).

This

is because due to the error that your addon throws, we can't even access the normal Xenforo administration menu to install the add-on in the traditional way.

We uninstalled it like we uninstalled other plugins, which didn't cause any errors

and it was installed... well, when I say beginning of the year I mean the first months of the year, that is, when the plugin came out I tried to install it, and when I saw that it didn't work, I uninstalled it just like I have uninstalled other things, I don't know why this specific one caused so many errors.

1.0.0 wasn't release until the end of September, so only 2 months ago. Did you by chance have another plugin installed and then tried this one?

Regarding the issues I'm not able to help too much unless given access to your site but that's up to you, especially with the confusion above.

What is the error you get after re-uploading the addon's files and then try to access the admin panel without trying to upgrade XenForo?

Nope, none, I just installed this one

And of course, we can give you access, if you explain to me what you need at this point there is no problem in passing you the things to see what can be done

the errors are those in the images above

I would need admin access, db access to to look at xf_addons table, and ftp access which can be limited to /src/addons/ most likely.

Accidentally deleted my blog...
so, i accidentally clicked delete blog when i meant to click Edit. I X-ed out, without clicking "Delete", but it still deleted my blog...
at present, i have permissions NOW set to not allow deletion by anybody.

so that is a bug that needs addressing.

Second, when i click Edit Blog, it does not edit the existing blog but creates a new blog with the edited settings, and none of the attached blogs.

so that is another bug that needs addressing.

Beyond those bugs, i am finding that i like the blogging system!

EDIT: using V1.2.2
