ok, so I have this user that is getting selected text inside quotes written with the same color as the background, it seems like rgb(144,144,144):

I already asked him to try it out with the default theme, but meanwhile I have tested the same scenario, even with his browser (Edge) and got nothing alike what he's getting:

How come using the same theme we are getting totally different results by doing the same steps?

What could be wrong here, and how to fix it?

Does anyone have a clue of what is going on?

Go to Style Properties and make the following change:
NOTE
: I will include this change in the next release...

I'm getting reports that scrollbars aren't visible in quote boxes (using Code add-in) at https://csharpforums.net.

Can't see scrollbar/thumb on right side of the box.

Hi @NealC, What web browser are you using?

I'm using MS Edge Chromium and this is what I see:

I don't know what he sees, but I'm using Chrome, and I also don't have the scroll bar there:

EDIT: I have tried on Microsoft Edge and the result is the same as on Chrome (no bar).

My versions:

Chrome 64 bit 85.0.4183.121
Edge 64 bit 85.0.564.68

I have no idea, it has been there since ever, it has nothing to do with my extensions.
Heck I don't even use Edge, I have minimum extensions installed, and all are disabled, and of course I refreshed the page:

hummm.... when I quote large texts my site cuts the citation and puts an "click to expand" at the bottom, no scrolling possible.

What does one have to do to have the scroll bar in the first place?

I was trying to simulate this situation on my own site but failed miserably...

I'm using Google Chrome. Change the theme from the lower left to Shades of Blue and you'll see the scroll thumb appear.

@NealC and @jprates What version of Shades of Grey are you using, and what version of xenForo are you using? I found what may be affecting it, but I need this info to make the correct fix.

Dumb question but I just upgraded my forum. How do I "upgrade" the theme?
Do I just replace the files through ftp?

If you already had the style installed prior to your upgrade, you don't need to do anything.

@NealC and @jprates

Okay, after an exhaustive detective hunt, I found the culprit. The add-on causing the scrollbar issue is...

Although this goes beyond the scope of support for this style, here is a fix for ya:

Go to Styles > Templates > Shades of Grey and add the text "!important" to the three lines as shown in the image below:
