hey.. why not add truthsocial to the list?

It used to be supported as a Mastodon-compatible site but I don't know where they're at now. You can try adding their hostname(s) to the Mastodon hosts and see whether it works. If they're not compatible with Mastodon anymore, you can try the Custom service/development requests forum.

hmm i have the domains listed within s9e but have to put that inside parsehtml tags to get the embedded content to show from external sites.

If you post all the details here, I'll look into it. You should never have to allow any HTML in order to embed a site via this add-on.

They fixed their embeds sometime in recent days. And their embeds appear to work on my board. There is some dynamic resizing happening so maybe that bit of code is fixed as well. Probably updated their source mastodon code.

@JoshyPHP I seem to be having issues with SoundCloud. This is the (shortened) link to one of my public playlists:

@zoldos AFAICT only tracks and playlists are supported. Profiles do not get embedded.

On YouTube embeds I’ve started getting a “Sign in to confirm that you're not a bot” message pop up when you click to play with no apparent links to play it on YouTube or externally whatsoever!

Anyone else getting this? If so what did you do?

I've never had that personally. If you send me a link to your forums, to the post that displays that behaviour, I will look into it.

Possible factors can be: privacy-related settings (referrers, cookies), use of VPNs or other privacy protections/tracking prevention.

I’ve just tried on my PC (using Brave) and not a problem there. On my mobile (using Brave again) I get the problem even with shields down. Using Safari on my iPhone it’s exactly the same.

People can disable embedding their posts. It can't be reliably detected at the forum level.

In the Admin panel, Content > BB code media sites. Edit the Instagram entry and make sure it's enabled.
