Embed still works but no content appears and it tells you to open the post in Telegram to read the content.

Dang, that would be most uncool of Telegram if they intend to do that widely. I can confirm that at least the Durov post shows that behaviour on my board. The other posts from the Telegram account embed fine. Does https://t.me/telegram/83 appear correctly on yours?

I know that some accounts are only accessible via the app but as far as I can tell, they're still in a minority. At least for now. Let me know if you hear anything, thanks.

hah. that embedded fine. so i guess they are specifically blocking proper embedding of durov's posts. which also explains why telegram news embed loads fine on their embed code page!

What should we do? I don't find any clue.

https://x.com/i/web/status/1838591088124191197
After posting it, it should appear as two embedded tweets.

If you edit the post, original links should be replaced with the following BBCodes:
Code:
[MEDIA=twitter]1838591088124191197[/MEDIA]
[MEDIA=twitter]1838591088124191197[/MEDIA]

In this post on your site, I see a text link rather than an embedded tweet. If you edit this post, what's his text content? It might be the URL in plain text, or a [URL] BBCode. Either way, I see that in this specific post, the tweet is not embedded by the add-on. It remains a normal link, which is then replaced automatically by Twitter's script. That's why it doesn't match the look or behaviour the add-on's embed.

No, it's not URL bbcode.

This URL works fine on my test board. The issue with short URLs such as fb.watch is that they need to be resolved to their canonical form in order to be usable. That's done automatically by your forum's server, but it is sometimes identified as bot activity and blocked by Facebook. If your server is unable to resolve the short link, you can resort to post the canonical link instead. In this case: https://www.facebook.com/100067995486523/videos/1619300282263906/

That’s exactly the problem and thank you.
