I'd much rather make something that Rachel Ray makes, than Paula.

Paula Deen calls her cooking southern homestyle cookin'. But honey, I'm from the south, and no true southerner that I have ever known, cooks like that.
Amen. That woman would make butter fried butter in a butter cream sauce. I don't cook completely low-cal, but its just criminal when a recipe is 50% fat and she tried to pass it off as "southern".
Of course I'm from Texas, so there isn't anything we can't kill, dry-rub and smoke. Beef, turkey, pork, rattlesnake...it all comes out with a nice smoke ring and a little spicy kick!
 
Pffft how can you call yourself an Englishman and not like bread and butter pudding with black pudding for breakfast ;) Do I need to also mention the insidious English dish that starts with the term "potted" ..... more butter in use there than Marlon Brando got through in Paris.

Still not sure about this American custom of ruining perfectly good alcohol by adding egg to it .... guess who ever came up with that one had consumed a few sherbets before thinking it was a real good idea.

Y'all got some weird names for food over there.

yeah, this one's cause all sorts of hoo-ha over whether it should be re-named to something less... embarrassing lol, like "suet pudding with currants", or "Spotted Richard" or something... but to me, it is and always will be "Spotted ****"
