Just to provide an alternative viewpoint... ;)

Yorkshire pudding, made from flour, egg, salt and milk and is like a bread where it bakes in hot oil and rises and is full of air.
You've just described a doughnut. :)

When I think of pudding, I think of something with a consistency a bit thicker than yoghurt or compote that one eats with a spoon. If someone hands me something called pudding, I expect if I try to pick it up, my hands will be covered in mush.

I do like bread pudding, when it is done well. Which is to say, not stale/dry bread and good ingredients as well as a nice sauce over top. Most bread pudding is too much bread, or too heavy, or gummy, or some other problem. A good bread pudding should be rich, but not heavy.

I also love English Trifle, and used to make it for Christmas, unfortunately I don't know enough people here who would like it and it's quite a bit of work for 1 person to eat. ;) Also, I left my Trifle bowl in the U.S. so I'd have to improvise.

Is Yorkshire pudding intended to be eaten warm?....never had it in my life...but my friend and next door neighbor's family makes this I just have never for some reason tried it. Odd.

Is it crispy only on the outside...or all the way through...sure I could look it up myself, but I feel someone responding with their experiences is quite more valid and genuine.

Lol the first one sounded like he was on crystal meth :-) watching the second right now :-) thanks!

Hmm now I am confused.....It seems to look like an oblong muffin... is the inside solidified like a light bread...or is it gooey? I have an idea for something I want to try with that....I will make these tonight.... looking up recipes today and then coming up with my own.... Thank you all you Yorkshire Pudding lovers I will try and let you know the damage later.

The inside is mainly hollow.

It's literally just flour, water and eggs whisked up and cooked into a puffed up ball.
This makes this a great misnomer...:-)

Ahhhhhaaaa so piping them with a custard after cooked is an option :) Maybe I'll fill em with a cool cinnamon vermicelli rice pudding and serve em with espresso. Dude this is going to be fantastic.
