I've got time to kill ..... Ask me anything

because when has term limits,

because who takes away the mystery,

because what would be a logical question,

because where is just a waypoint to the future...

I respect that....I do not fish and only because I do not eat fish....If I were to do everything based on what I would do if I had to do it to survive I would not be fishing...and I am not vain enough to do it for leisure while not enjoying fish as a meal.

Do you actually hunt? I apply the same principle with hunting. I have never killed anything that I would not eat...and when I was young before my first hunting trip, I was made to kill a pheasant with my bare hands to understand the cause and effect of what I would be inflicting in a way where I could not ignore it. That leaving it's mark on me...I aim to do what I have to and minimize suffering to the prey while providing nourishment for myself and company.
Little bit like yourself, I only do so out of need. If I feel like having fish and am able, I'll catch it naturally and not depend upon some processed store package. And I also see no point in senselessly killing something just for the sport of it. Whatever I kill, I keep, and I make damn sure nothing goes to waste.

I prefer fresh over packaged. Not just because it's free (which it is), but because I believe it is healthier and not to add it's a balance with nature. Some of those store bought fish had no chance in hell as they were grown for only one goal in mind, food. I also think a lot of food goes to waste in the world and so much of what ends up on shelves (or frozen) dies needlessly and in wasteful way.

A little education for the younger people.... Mad use to also (technically still does) mean crazy. See... People are learning. lol :p

Because if you can't laugh at yourself, what's the point? And became sometimes we all feel a little crazy (or at least experience it). :p

And like The Mad Hatter, there is a reason for my madness.

I do not think you're mad - quite the opposite. You might want to make people believe you are, occasionally, but you seem to know what you do really well.

:)

I'm actually very eccentric. Which is often confused as madness.... Which in it's self is a matter of an opinion.

As for knowledge.... I often find I'm at odds with it. What people assume I know as common knowledge, I sometimes find myself clueless on. And yet, what I would think to be common knowledge, others' seem to be clueless on.

Somewhere in between everyone just assumed everyone else knows and there lies the communication problem to which I seem to lack the resolve.

Why would you make the jump that everyone here is mad?

Mad is not being used here as the word to describe anger, but the word to describe one being crazy (y)
yes...everyone is crazy according to at least one other person....so I was just pointing out that it is in no way a jump...that is already a fact...

crazy is really comprised of ones lack of understanding of an outside stimulus...if you understand it you are probably the same kind of crazy as said stimulus,

Did you know that ones who are normally quick & eager to defend their sanity are normally the ones who are crazy?! :coffee:
Wasn't defending my own sanity, that's long gone.

Human Nature:
Anyone that is more normal / average than you is boring.
Anyone who is less normal / average than you is crazy.
There is a problem with our theory.

There is no normal.
two answer both clauses....

boring people are weak to 'normal people'

crazy people are most often perceived as a threat

to have a normal we would would have to live in pleasantville...
