[HA] News Ticker

[HA] News Ticker [Paid] 1.3.1

No permission to buy ($39.99)
One thing I've noticed, the ticker carousels on my home page will begin moving even though in the News Ticker options I have removed the tick from Autoplay.

@Dadparvar kindly check the Breaking News Ticker's RSS Feed:
https://xen-pro.com/demo/newsticker/breakingnewsticker/rss.html

It's not showing any data on your demo page and on my site too, looks like something has to be updated.

This may help:

cons.webp

My site is HTTPS and I have HTTPS RSS link in RSS URL(s)(Breaking News Ticker) field.
I have this options checked: SSL or Any Special Security Process?

It was working fine few days back, not sure what has stopped this working now.

I'll check for next update. (coming soon, in next couple of days at most)

@Veer the problem with my demo was a mistake in feeds. Not a bug in the add-on.

you can check the demo and now it works. I also checked it on a site and it worked fine.

Can you please clear the cache and test it again and let me know the result?

I can see it working on the demo page, sometime its showing feed but not always. I have cleared the cache. When I see it showing and I go to any next page, ticker does not show the feed. Go to other pages, reloads again, hard refresh, Sometime it's showing and sometime not. It's strange. I can see this happening on your demo page too.

Is it a browser issue? but I see it happening on my mobile browser (chrome) too.

On desktop it's Windows 10, Google Chrome 60.0.3112.101 (Official Build) (64-bit) and Chromium 62.0.3192.0
If I check browser console I see this error only when ticker feed in not showing:

conss.webp

No not a browser specific issue. It's a problem related to using https in the code where I used XMLHttpRequest. I should find a better way for that ticker. Maybe rewriting that special ticker and replacing the way it works with another way.

Anyway, next version coming soon is focused on the swift ticker. I want to update it.

Hi Dadparvar, I seem to be having an issue with displaying both the Swift Ticker - RSS and the Swift Ticker - Socials in the position "Forum List Below Nodes". - https://onlyonecardiff.city

I have updated to 1.3.1

I am using the Widget Framework as suggested, with the Socials Ticker in position hook:forum_list_nodes, Display Order 60 and the RSS Ticker also in position hook:forum_list_nodes but in Display Order 70.

The problem is, only the Social Ticker seems to display, the box for the RSS Ticker remains blank. I've tried it in multiple browsers and cleared caches but it just doesn't seem to want to work.

Also, the problem where the the ticker carousels on my home page will begin moving even though in the News Ticker options I have removed the tick from Autoplay still exists. (As before, the tickers will stay still until you run the mouse pointer over them and then they begin to move)

Hi,

I'll check it tonight again to see what causes the problem for you. I'll try to figure it out.

I found a fix for carousels problem that you have (I think)

For the other problem, which is not showing RSS, I tested on my own site and RSS worked right next to Social ticker. I couldn't reproduce it, but based on checking your site, I can guess something. (I'll check it a bit later, as I have a couple of other works for these days, but to save time, I also contacted Swift Box's library's writer and asked him to see if he can get it fix. I'll try to bring a fix asap so that you be able to perfectly use the add-on as expected)

Hi Dadparvar, do you find a fix for this problem? :)
about the moving problem, although there is something with library, but I can fix it too. (anyway I also reported to the library developer and will provide him the detail so that he fix it for next update)

but about not showing the ticker, this was his answer:
1- In last 48 hours Yahoo services (YQL) have random issues. Then, randomly, you get no results from feed queries.

Unfortunately this is the only possible service to use and can't make anything about Yahoo. As far as I remember this is the second time Yahoo fails in 2 years. Hope they will fix soon.

Oh also, do you know where I can get the smilies that are used on this forum?
