I just connected a newsfeed to the forum and it works. But i have two additional questions:
1. I'd like to reduce the max number of characters in a newsfeed post. People should only see a part of the post like the next example...
I want to have all threads created in the child forums be shown in the parent forum below the below the child forum nodes. Basically an aggregate of all child forums showing in their parent forum. If it is possible (but not required), I don't want people posting in the actual parent forum...
Is there any way to include RSS of sub forum into the main forum ? looking for this thing atm :)
Forum (It should include RSS of it sub forum also, i.e include child node RSS into it.)
----Sub Forum (It will have its own RSS)
----Sub Forum 2 (It will have its own RSS)
The RSS link on my XF forum isn't working. it just shows some errors:
<![CDATA[ העמוד שביקשת אינו נמצא. ]]>
See here: http://forum.xn--4dbcyzi5a.com/-/index.rss
What I need:
Control RSS feed check time (X minutes).
Option to exclude items older than X minutes (e.g. to prevent posting very old posts that for some reason appeared in RSS feed).
Post threads as redirect links to the URLs in RSS feed.
Thread title = item title.
Optional prefix or suffix...
With this add-on, you can have a news ticker in your site. Just put the RSS link you want in its option's field. and it will do rest of the things. If you want to customize it more, then you can use its options and style properties and permissions to do so.
What's the address for the RSS feed for Resources? I tried /index.rss, but I get only this:
This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.
<![CDATA[ The requested page is unrepresentable as RSS. ]]>
I registered 11 feeds and they sent more that 1000 threads with "PREFIX1" to FORUM1.
Now U change the Prefix of each feed and new thread are sending with special prefix of each feed.
But how I can update the feeds prefixes that are sent? They are all in one forum and 11 different prefixes...
