XF 2.0 Post feed setup detailed (limited characters and picture)

Hi,

I just connected a newsfeed to the forum and it works. But i have two additional questions:

1. I'd like to reduce the max number of characters in a newsfeed post. People should only see a part of the post like the next example:

2. I'd like the feed to also load the picture of the article and not just the text. Also the same as in the link posted above.

This is how it looks now at my forum. I'd like to reduce the text to half the number of characters and would like to load the feed picture.

Unfortunately there's very little control over how the feed is posted. In the example feed you posted, it displays like that because that's the information that the feed actually returns.

It may not be possible to display the image, if the feed you're using doesn't contain an image.

If you share the feed URL you're using then I'll see what information it contains and what's possible.

Ok, did fixed the charcters problem by change the feed settings in Wordpress. The provider guided me.

Only thing i'd like is to also load the image.

That feed doesn't contain any image data.

Fixed. Added a Wordpress plugin.

So for the next one with the same question, you should edit the feed you import.

Lesson learned.
