Grand Theft Auto V

If it disappears it's gone. They will not recover anything lost. That's why they're giving out GTA$ 500,000 in two installments. I blame it on this new character cloud save they're doing. If they allowed local saves, we wouldn't have this issue with loss at all.

So my first 10 minutes in the game and I completed the little tutorial, I met two guys and had to choose a car to steal (I chose the white one). I started Driver Ed and ran over a pedestrian because he had the nerve to walk on the side walk. I had a productive 10 minutes.

Last night me and this random dude robbed a liquor store together. I hopped in the passenger seat since he had gotten into the driver's seat before me and this dude drove off a cliff, but we survived and lost those wanted stars. Then he proceeded to drive around the track. He was really lost. This reminded me of when you're driving around with your friends in real life and they get lost. Yeah had that same feeling in the game. Just watching the screen. He finally got back to the city and I saw a banshee. So I jumped out and stole the banshee and went about my business.

Things I do... I really love the helicopters. I jack the helicopters and go on a joyride. I fly around and rob the liquor stores. Sometimes I fly way above a player because they can't see me and they are mad confused as to where I am. Sometimes I go to the meriweather docks and have a shoot out with them, basically just steal their rifles for gun ammo. After I rob a store I always deposit it in the bank. I haven't played the main storyline too much yet because it's kind of dangerous too, since so many people are out there to get you. The other players be trying to kill each other half the time.

By main storyline you mean mission? lol if they kill you in missions I think you lose the same amount of money as in public free mode.

You should find yourself a crew or some buddies who will play through with you. Once you complete more missions, you unlock more things to do (and get money lol).

Helicopter robberies are all the rage now, but I still prefer my cars. I've taken to rare car collecting or funky car collecting, so I like to use these as my robbery vehicles lmfao (probably doesn't help me at all since they're unique vehicles).

And that's why I don't play GTAVOnline. I mean, I commend the whole "online story" thing, but the unpredictability of Online throws me off that I said "screw it." I'm not playing GTAVOnline until Rockstar fixes all of these bugs first.

And since lives are limited in missions, people don't **** around that much. You only get 1-2 crew lives in total. Once that's lost the mission is failed. It'd be a pretty bad troll if someone KEPT killing you in missions. GTA Online safer from griefers if you play the game modes and missions

I'm not kidding! The first time I played the game, this dude shoots me over and over and over again on my freakin' spawn!

Then he has the balls to call me out, talk trash on his mic. Nothing was more infuriating than that, especially when I'm starting my first story missions in GTAVOnline.

LOL! Yeah that's why I started out in invite only sessions or solo sessions :P
You can opt to do that through the story mode menu. I generally do that and suggest that to anyone until there at least level 8-10.

So far I am loving GTA Online. I have not bothered to play the story line much at all, I got up to where you get the dog and that's it. I spend all of my GTA time online in public sessions because I just like to be around other people. However, there are a lot of douchebags out there. People that shoot you for absolutely no reason at all and will continuously shoot you, I find myself just joining a different session if that happens.

There have been good ones. I met an entire group of people hanging out by the LS Mod Shop, one of them honked at me so I got into his car and he headed to his Apartment. Some massive place with 10 hot cars and stuff, sent him a "Holy crap" message. That was a fun one just to see what I can eventually get in the game.

Right now I'm about Rank 8 or 9. I find myself doing silly things I can't imagine anyone else would do. Like yesterday, I changed into sports clothes, drove by that carnival thingie and jogged on the bike trail all the way through that entire area. I don't have any crew or anything yet but I've been having fun so far.

I'm trying to save 400k for the house that guy had taken me to, and then trying to save up another 650k after that to buy the Cheetah car.

The game froze up on me for a second time today- had to reset the PS3 which then would not reboot. Will need to restore the system again which will loose all my saved games/progress for the 2nd time. Can't really commit to playing much if I risk a hard reset ever couple weeks.

That's what I DO like about xBox's cloud storage of the games. :D

I have both Xbox 360 and PS3... Most of the time I buy the Xbox version of games but my cousin had PS3 and really wanted to play online with me- so I went with the PS3 version. Of course he has since bought his first apartment and hasn't had time to play since I bought it (which I happy for him) but this was a waste for me. Now to get cloud storage on PS3 I have to buy PS "Plus" for $50 a year, which is like paying for Xbox Live Gold.

This PS3 is an original, purchased off ebay new when it first came out. It's quite old. My Xbox was also original but died a few years back and replaced- I'm thinking it may be time to retire the PS3 and just stay with Xbox- I buy 1, maybe 2 games a year and don't play all that much. I don't need 2 systems.

So I'm still having a lot of fun in this game. I'm around level 27 now and I have saved up right around $380,000 in my bank and hoping to get the last 20,000 for my apartment by tonight.

The next goal will be to save up for the Cheetah. After that, I don't know.

Just finished the campaign on my third attempt after my save data corruption woes. Determination.

Played this all weekend. There was a cargo plane on trevor's airfield and this guy I just played Boneyard survival with hinted to me to get in the back. He melee'd the back door and it fell open. So I ran in and he took off but it wouldn't let me stay in. I would fall and slide out. So I called the mechanic and asked him to bring my motorcycle. I rode my motorcycle up the ramp and that guy took off with me in it. While we were in the air I had to keep driving towards the front because the bike kept sliding to the back. He started diving which made my bike slide to the front. He bailed or jumped out I'm not sure all I know is I fell out the plane, me and my bike fell separate ways over the city freeway but I survived mostly thanks to that 400% shield I had left since survival. I barely made it alive. Ran over to my motorcycle, picked the other guy up and we rode around doing drivebys killing other players. His character was a tanned blonde woman. I think it's probably a dude tho. Personally I've only created one character.

I'm kind of late to this game cause I hsd been busy but if anyone wants to add me my xboxlive name is DreTheSage you can invite me whenever you need an extra thug for something. Later I'mma login oxy's site and find a crew. Created a Crew http://rsg.ms/1bjVRwJ

:) lol the save issues were "fixed" in 1.05 but there are freezing issues which are causing corrupted saves or lost saves now. Cloud doesn't appear to be an issue anymore. If the cloud goes down it'll be back up in a few mins and your character will be alright. I'd say it's stabilizing. The only issue is the "economy" it's all screwed in online because of money glitches. Rockstar might as well get rid of car sales in general until the can figure a way to stop people from duplicating high-end cars and selling them.

I met a rank 6 with a garage full of supers the other day lol. Screwy stuff. Some people say it's not important but in a game where climbing to the top of a monetary hill is an objective, it is important lol. It's as if everyone considers it a Sims game and when they run out of simoleons they're just using cheats to get more. To each their own *my friends included* but if you're gonna show me a shiny new car, show me one that you actually put unexploited effort in getting. This is what is killing the gta online for me haha
