[DBTech] DragonByte Shop

[DBTech] DragonByte Shop [Paid] 6.0.4

No permission to buy (€12.45)
It's not easy to add any of those criteria as that data isn't being tracked separately, but it's certainly something I could look into in the future :)

Thanks, I'm looking forward. With these criteria we could create some really interesting trophies/achievements/medals :)

Awesome update. thanks.

is it possible to limit usergroups about how many shops they can create? (it seems then can create unlimited shops now. I didn't find any place to limit it)

(we want to let them create 1, and if they need more, then they be able to purchase an item to let them create a few more shops => which it need a usergroup permission so that we define that kind of item)

Imagine you (admin) and your users have 10, 12 shops then every time you (admin) Add/Edit items in Admin CP, you see all shops in the "Per-Shop Inventory Configuration" tab. It's getting too long with each new shop, have to scroll down to find the shop you need to set. The layout of this tab should be improved as now more user created shops will be coming.

P.S. I have an idea to improve it, have a drop down menu for Shop selection in "Per-Shop Inventory Configuration" tab.

I think it can be a good idea: when there are multiple shops there, then first shop's options be expanded and rest of the shops be collapsed until we click a toggle button to expand each of them.

Yes.

Another idea is we could have all shops in a drop down menu in "Per-Shop Inventory Configuration" tab.

Hey all,

I want to give you guys a heads up about next week's update, v5.1.0, and a change that is going to potentially affect everyone's shops.

The "Default Item Permissions" user group permission will change.

It now reads: Default Item Permissions - Allow Access, and Not Set or Never will mean the users in this user group cannot buy any items that are not explicitly allowed in the Item Management screen. Previously, this setting was not actually implemented, so any customisations you did to this setting will not have had any effect.

You may or may not need to configure the user group permissions matrix for your user groups after upgrading to v5.1.0 in order for your items to still be buyable by the intended user groups. If you want to future proof yourself, you can set the Can Purchase permission to Yes for all of your user groups ahead of time, as that setting will take priority over the user group permission.

This change should mean that you will now have finer control over your items' permissions going forward :)

It still doesn't work, or I've done something wrong. Latest version of the add-on. (5.0.0)
  • User A gifts User B an item
  • User B doesn't have the gift automatically active and must go to shop -> inventory, click on settings and then activate the item there for it to show up on his personal profile inventory and for any effects the purchase has to take place.

Its totally good that its not activated automatically.

Imagine you are a formal famous person and someone comes and buy you a profile music that is really odd for you. and you don't check a few days and people come and say "hey what is nice music on your profile!!!" and when you check you see what happened! ;)

(in our site that is a legal social network its so important that these things not be happened)

Hold on, is this via regular gifting or the Purchase As Gift link? If it's the latter, then this is working as intended.

Purchase as gift via shop directly.

I see, so the approach has changed and the gift needs to be activated :) alright!

Yea I am fine with it being activated by the reciever! :D

Can I request a feature then?

If gifting via 'purchase as gift' from shop doesn't automatically activate items on the receiver, can items that have limited time (time-bound items) have the expiry begin from the time the item is activated? Or is that too complicated to build in?

The problem with that is determining whether an item has been activated previously. Otherwise, people could simply deactivate and reactivate for infinite items.
