How do I remove the DragonByte Shop at the top or rename?
Search for it in the Phrase Manager :)

Also I remember the vB version of this mod had the option to add shoutbox image items to the shop. The item would grant the user who purchased the item the ability to use the specific image in the shout box. Is this a feature?
As far as I'm aware, the vBulletin version does not have any such option, and the Shoutbox does not support limiting certain images in any way. This may be a custom modification to our products you commissioned, perhaps?

can you help me check which phrase it is? there's so many of them under "DragonByte Shop" would help a lot, thanks.

Right now, the only way to control who can or cannot buy an item is with usergroups. I wanted to suggest extending that to include custom user field and user criteria, the same way it's used to determine who receives a trophy or who views notices.

For example, then I'd be able to create items available only to members who at least x likes, or x trophy points. Or make items available only to members who have x value in one of their custom user fields.

Oh I see, I'll check how easy it is to use XF's default criteria system for checking this :)

I was wondering if you've had a chance to look into this yet, and if we'll be seeing it on a future update? I'm currently trying to figure out how to run some things on my board, and whether or not this will be an option is pretty central to deciding which way to go. :)

Sorry, this must have slipped my mind. I'll add it to my ToDo list for this week :)

So I've had a look into this, and there's a slight problem; mods that hook into the Trophy Criteria interface would not also hook into this interface.

A solution to this problem would be to make it so you could limit items to be buyable only to people who have earned certain trophies. I understand that this is a sub-optimal solution in terms of freedom and usability (after all, it requires you to create trophies in one interface, then utilise them in a vastly different interface), but it will allow for maximum compatibility with 3rd party modifications that interface with trophies.

Is this an acceptable solution for you?

Unfortunately that wouldn't work for me. I don't plan to use trophies at all on my site. I was hoping to be able to use the custom user field criteria that comes with trophies/notices/user group promotions so that certain shop items are available only to people with certain values in a custom user field. Plus the other request I made at the same time about a new shop item that edits a custom user field.

Basically, I have a game system on my site. People have "skills" set as custom user fields, with the value being the skill level. What I was hoping to do was showing certain shop items based off of their current skill level (their custom user field), and then have a shop item that would level them up (i.e. set their custom user field to a specific number).

I may be able to add that functionality, but do bear in mind that no criteria from custom modifications would appear there.

I'll post back when I've investigated whether this is feasible.

I am slowly in the process of setting up the shop, items, and currencies. So far so good.

Question,

There are two buttons at the top of the shop.

Shop management
Item management.

If i click on either of them, I get a
"no_permission" error.

I do not have any items yet in my shop, I have set my user id as the shop owner, and I am the super admin.

Is there something I have missed in setup?

Ok figured it out. Sorry for the pester.

I realized I had in usergroup permissions set for can make custom shop and is shop manager.

I didnt notice, and only plan on offering a shop through acp management.

Thanks in advance.

I edited the "dbtech_shop_shop_long" phrase and made the Phrase Text blank.

It's doing what I want but It seems to lag a little. Is there a better way remove this phrase or is what I did fine?

Sorry, I don't quite understand what you mean when you say "lag a little". Could you elaborate, please?

ignore what I said about lag. Is there a better way to remove the phrase or is what I did fine?

Removing all the plain text from phrase.
The only other way would be to remove the phrase from the template, but removing the text is probably fine too (unless the phrase gets re-used somewhere) :)

Are there any plans to implement "approve upon purchase"? I'm looking to put user upgrades into the shop but I want to approve it each purchase.
