[DBTech] DragonByte Credits

[DBTech] DragonByte Credits [Paid] 6.0.9

No permission to buy (€14.95)
Hi,

Read through the description and may have missed this but is there a credit 'event' for login or visit forum? I'm trying to encourage users to visit/login often and thought a credit reward might be a good way to do it. For example earn X credits per day by visiting forum (obviously this would be capped). Interesting mod and potentially very powerful.

There's a Daily Activity event :)

You can purchase credits for other people using real money (Purchase event) or donate credits to other members (Donate event).

This reminds me, I've been meaning to ask (or did I ask? I don't remember): would it be possible to add the resulting amount of a "Transfer" event. For instance, if you have two currencies, Silver (set with value 1) and Gold (set with value 10), you can transfer 10 silver to get 1 gold. However, the event itself doesn't tell you the transfer rate or what the resulting amount will be.

I have a few different currencies on my forum that allow for transfers, and even I have trouble remembering the exact exchange rates sometimes. I'd prefer the ability to 'buy' them in the shop (ie, buy 1 Gold at the cost of 10 silver), but I believe you've said before that won't be an option.

It could be something to look into for the future, for the time being I need to complete the rewrites of all the older XF2 mods.

5.1.0 Beta 2

Update highlights

!!! DO NOT INSTALL THIS VERSION IF YOU ARE RUNNING DRAGONBYTE SHOP v6.0.x !!!

This update fixes a problem where you would need to deactivate event listeners via your config.php file in order to access any part of your site.

Furthermore, a performance issue was identified where the mod would re-fetch the currencies from the database for every single post when viewing a thread. The caching system for currencies has gained...

What does this mean? It sounds like posters would be able to earn credits by adding attachments, or losing credits if they remove attachments, however, if this is not the case, then please feel to provide a better summary of what this means.
This is already a feature, so yes, that is what that means. The suggestion I made - that was implemented - enables me to simplify the code needed to accomplish this feature.

I did not know that.
I thought users earn credits for written content only.

Hey DB! I am going to drop this again as a [please please please] perhaps future update enhancement? I attached two pictures; I keep getting the same feedback from our users and that is they would love to see access to their 'wallet' as shown below and in their member profiles.

Just a thought...if you'd be so inclined to add an option there...

Hmm... it’s a good idea, I’m just not sure how it would work with multiple currencies. Since those tabs would need to show up on a per-currency basis (and they might be different for each currency depending on events), I’d be inclined to add each currency to that list same as in the postbit. Clicking on each currency would then open the overlay as it does now.

Would that work, you reckon?
