It would be a completely unsupported configuration, as Conversation Essentials had well baked in assumptions about Conversation Improvements being available. It would also prevent upgrades working cleanly as the installer will complain about missing requirements during the upgrade processOK thanks but would there be problems if I used Conversation Essentials without Conversation improvements?
Fair enough./ Might be better to say in the description (of Essentials) that Improvements is required not just Strongly Recommended. And also, that search improvements is therefore required as well because its needed for Conversation Improvements. It would be a completely unsupported configuration, as Conversation Essentials had well baked in assumptions about Conversation Improvements being available.
- Require Search Improvements v2.10.0+
- Improve how conversations are filtered out of search results when using XFES without ElasticSearch Essentials
- Fix edited conversation messages lacked the "Last edited:" marker after they had been edited
This add-on adds integration to the existing search box to make conversations an option:Just installed this and it works well so thank you @Xon . Sorry if this has been asked before (doesn't appear so from a search) but is there a feature planned to add a search box to near the top of the conversations screen, say under the "send private message" button? This would seem to me to be a more intuitive way for users to search their own conversations. Thank you
- Add "silently edit" feature for editing conversation messages, requires the "edit any message" permission
- For XF2.2, require re-indexing of conversations & conversation messages!
- Require StandardLib v1.21.0+
- Require Search Improvements v2.16.0+
- XF2.3 support
- php 8.4+ compatibility fixes
- Remove "Allow conversations with no one" option. XF2.3 supports this by default
- Fix adding a recipient to a direct message would re-index the conversation twice with XF2.3
- Fix check with XF2.2 for starting a conversation without recipients
Conversations are essentially direct messages. This was also renamed in xf2.3.x series, so there are no more 'conversations'. These are now titled 'Direct Messages'.Could this possibly enable conversations to become like direct messages?
