It is hard to belive that some kind of soulution can not be find because custom add-on is ruining official add-on not vice versa.

Unfortunately this would happen with any addon if the uninstall code for the 3rd party addon alters the database incorrectly.

The focus is currently on the current products and XenForo 2.0.

About the nomination, congratulations. Hiring/Nominating a hard worker and someone competent as Chris is a good thing. XenForo needed it.
About the "xenforonization" of Chris Gallery, I'm more reserved. On a side, it's a good thing since it strengthens the XenForo Official addons offers, but it also kills the fair competition (one's can use as much as convolutions, it does impact it) between the two existed gallery addons. So I will have also a thought for @sonnb. He's as well a hard worker and a competent developer, so good luck for him.

Although when it comes to paid galleries...to be honest personally I like @sonnb 's XenGallery approach better from the start (full page overlays, infinite scrolling etc.).
Still I'm grateful that there's another great and dedicated person in the core!
