Chat 2 by Siropu

Chat 2 by Siropu [Paid] 2.5.2

No permission to buy (€29.99)
Before I purchase this can anyone advise if this may be possible...

I have Snogs (now ozzy47) Social Groups addon and I was wanting to create a specific chat room for each Social Group and create a tab within the Social Group and embed that specific Chat Room in it.

So I end up with a site wide Chat function (with specific Social Group rooms not shown) and a Chat function for and specific to each Social Group that is shown within each Social Group

Siropu updated Chat 2 by Siropu with a new update entry:

Improvement & Bug Fixes

Added admin option to automatically logout users from all joined rooms when they logout from the site.

Bugs Fixed
Having the permission to change display mode and then not, Chat still uses the same position set in the user setting until any of the settings are changed.
Tab room active user count not displaying when first joining the room.

Installed this this morning and it works GREAT. So many options to play with. I do have two questions, and maybe they've been addressed.

1. If you add an emoji and then hit space, the emoji vanishes.
2. You seemingly cant just respond with an emoji only. If you send it, nothing shows up.

Otherwise, working great.

Also, can someone explain desktop notifications? Are they ONLY for for when someone reacts to your comment? I'm confused why there are all the various choices but in your user preferences, they dont exist.

Is there a way to upload media directly into chat? If not could it considered as a suggestion please?
I know you can add media via URL but sometimes you just want to select a photo from your camera roll.
Thanks!
Did you ever figure this out? I have the button added and I can select an image to insert but when I click Insert Selected, nothing happens.

So the issue is in this version and not 2.0.18? Yes, I just tried 2.1.9 also and same thing happened
What display mode are you using? Set to sidebar bottom, but I tried them all
Do you have the permission to change display mode in your user settings? Yes
In Chat widget settings, are all default Chat positions checked? Yes all options are checked

I also uninstalled 2.1.9 and re-installed 2.0.18. Chat window is visible again but admin options are missing, and chat widget only shows at toolbar no matter what position I choose.

If you have the permission to change display mode from your Chat user settings, it doesn't meter what position you set in admin options because the Chat will use the position you have set in your own settings.

Try to search before but with no luck.
So, is it possible to edit a guest`s nickname in chat room?
Not a member, just a guest with a bad word for nickname.
I can delete entire post but i want to leave this bad post.
Just need to change the nickname of this bad guest. Can i do it?

Any way to add a chat button up here, but only on mobile (much like the lightning bolt add-on offered elsewhere)? Currently on mobile, if the chat display isnt set to all pages, a mobile visitor would have no idea the chat existed without going to the nav hamburger (which not many use).

For now, I just have a persistent notification at the top of the site that links to the chat page.

The bottom line is when I upgraded from 2.0.18 to 2.1.x, I can't get chat to appear anywhere. I'm using default style, and the other add-ons I use were disabled.
