I know that it is third party script, but mobile detect give me 200-300 errors in acp only because I have 7.4.x php version.

If you are using the latest version of both add-ons, it shouldn't be a problem. I'm running 7.4 myself with no errors.

In a private chat you can only edit / delete the latest messages.
Even the admins and moderators.

Ein bisschen mehr Einsatz wäre schon wünschenswert, da 30€ nicht wenig sind.

Which cron? from system? where is a log from this?

ACP > Tools > Cron entries > Chat: Post bot messages

That's how XF cron jobs work, they run when you browse the site. So if you set a bot message to post a 2:00 AM, and no one is browsing the site at that time, it won't get posted.

I got away from having chat rooms on my forums a few years ago due to the concern about them taking content away from the forum itself and hurting rankings. Back then, the chats were very popular.

Thinking about adding it back, and was wondering if anyone could comment on the overall activity levels on their forums after adding this chat add-on.

If the addon is deactivated, it is ok.
