It's unlikely it will be included in the add-on since most people don't need it.
And yes, you can copy the file and change it a bit. Will need to register as new add-on to make use of the event listener. I assume you are a developer?

I do have some basic php knowledge, but never did something with MVP or xenforo at all. Bur hey, why not start with a widget

This update doesn't change that. If you want to keep using TaigaChat, you can disable/delete all forum_list widgets.

Actually, I have just check TaigaChat Pro (a paid solution), it does support [bd] Widget Framework...

Available widgets:

- Sidebar shoutbox
- Alt (full width) shoutbox
- Users in Chat (realtime updated)

I don't have the add-on myself but my guess is you go to AdminCP > Appearances > Widgets, click the add new button, choose TaigaChat from the dropdown list. It should be fairly easy from there.

That's interesting. Make sure you have the add-on enabled... And has admin permission to manage styles? I think you have the permission because the style links are shown. Maybe you should check the add-on. Re-import the XML should work.
