Announcing Forum Runner - XenForo iPhone/iPad/Android App!

Version 1.4.4 of the iPhone app has been sent into Apple for approval. This will include support for "Like" of posts. I'll let you know when this goes live!
In order to prepare for it, I've released version 1.0.3 of the add-on backend which includes:

* Add support for Like and Unlike posts
* Fix issue with searching for posts through a user's profile returning results from the logged in user

I've had great luck with this so far, but one of my users is having a ton of problems on the android paid app. He can browse the forums fine, reply and such. But everytime he gets a notification it force closes the app and says it's sending debug information to the developer. Is there anything we can do to look into this further?

A notification like a push notification? What kind of device is he running and what version of Android OS?

I have used the Tapatalk plugin on a different forum. The administration of the forum had purchased the application (rebranded) and offered it for free to their members. That was a good move since a lot of members liked it. However, there have been members that had problems (Android users mainly) and the bugs were not being fixed. All bugs were reported but nothing came up. In the end we were told that they will fix showstoppers for free but if we wanted the full version we had to pay 4 hours of programming for both applications for the updates. In the end it was like blackmail so the money was paid to get the update ($140 on top of the $1500 for the rebranding).
I have been using ForumRunner for the best part of two weeks. The PUSH notifications work like a charm and the forum loads really fast. I am very satisfied with this product and kudos to CJ for the effort. I have purchased the application for both my phone, my wife's phone and our iPad
I hope to see more of this good work in the future!

As a FYI, you would not have that issue with Forum Runner branding service. You pay the yearly license fee and all bug fixes are included, including new features, etc. If there are major issues, we work with you to debug the issue and if possible fix it and get a new version deployed for you.

Clemson: thanks for the forum runner plugin - I was using tapatalk on a couple vb forums I have going and was just waiting for them to release it.. then I tried forum runner and I like it better! I'll look into the branded forum thing if my Linux site takes off

Ugh. Scripts fail again. I'll just make it so you need to download it from the Forum Manager. You have to register in it eventually anyway.

Loving this alot, but shouldn't it be moved to third party services? We can't actually download the software here and we have to register at another site to use it, so I would think so.
Comments are not a reflection on the product though, its awesome.
I do have a question on branding. If one has several sites and would like them placed under a single brand, is that possible? Looks like the experiment with my daughters took hold, and they want to start several more sites.
I suppose thats good as long as their grades hold up and they manage enough monetization to pay for the software themselves.

It's an add-on so this is the correct forum for it.
There are quite a few add-ons and styles which are only available from the authors' sites so it's no different to that.

The Forum Runner app has been updated to support "Like" of posts in XenForo forums now. You should be able to update to the latest version of the app - and if the XenForo forum is running the latest version of the add-on you will be able to tap the header of a post you wish to like and choose "Like". You can also "Unlike" and it also will show you the users who like a post.

yesterday, I upgraded to latest version of forum runner 1.0.3 and latest xenForo 1.0 on the server end and upgrade to latest app on app store.
it still works, but it's not showing thumbnails now, don't know if it was newest forum runner and/or latest xenForo that stopped them displaying thumbnails, it worked fine before.
I think the "current" function might have stopped working too, will need to check that out further though
