The "Install from uploaded file/s" and "Install from file on server" options both accept xml files in addition to zip files. Is it still possible to use this addon the old school way? If I upload the files myself and then use this addon to install multiple XML's then it fails as there is no FTP permission. Which there shouldn't be for Old School install.
Now I am back to using the default upgrade function one by one.
https://xenforo.com/community/threads/add-on-install-upgrade.35211/page-56#post-1095269After upgrading an add-on it loses the "Resource Manager URL:" not letting us check it further for updates unless we manually set the URL again.
Can someone please confirm this? @Chris D
Thanks!
In the drop down I can only select 'copy files'The "Install from uploaded file/s" and "Install from file on server" options both accept xml files in addition to zip files.
You can just add XML files and it doesn't need to copy files around. It does need to write the XML file to a temporary location under install/addons/ so there is a historical record of what was installed.
Various bug fixes in this release.
Thanks @Xon!
- Do not override the update_url if it has been set
- Add cache buster strings to the redirect
- Do not rebuild caches on intermediate install runs
- Prevent deleting of an installed add-on entry
I updated it using itself. Is that bad?Chris D updated Add-on Install & Upgrade with a new update entry:
